Just a passing thought, but most of these tournaments are fundraisers for Christmas (toys, gift cards, etc...) do the teams still make their dontations? With so many tournaments rained out here lately some of the charitable organizations could really be losing out.

I looked at the tournaments canceled. Only one with something posted on the tournament pages was Mansfield. Doesn't mean the others aren't still doing the same. They may have only communicated it with the teams via email. I hope they are still doing it. Below is what was posted on the tournament page.

Due to recent rain and the cold weather the fields are too wet to make playable for this weekend. Therefore this tournament has been cancelled.
As had been communicated the Mansfield Toys For Kids events are charitable functions to collect toys for underpriveleged children and hygiene items for the homeless.

Toys are to be delivered to All Church Home and the hygiene items to the Prsebyterian Night Shelter.

Those benefactors are counting on the donations to help at Christmas. Therefore, Mansfield GSA is going to offer a discount on a Mansfield GSA hosted tournament for 2010 to teams that follow through with their donations.

Shipping and discount innformation will be sent by email to the the contacts of the teams entered this weekend.

Please give great consideration to helping the less fortunate and ship or drop off your donations at the defined locations.

Thanks deucedeuce for finding out some info. I hope some of the teams are still able to make their donations. If not to the one listed on the Mansfield Tournament website, at least to some other organization.

Mr. Goodman, Mr. Southlake, Mr. Tuggey, Mr. Graves.....whoever you really are...I don't know and really don't care as long as there are tournaments to be played somewhere. Why does it matter who hosts tournaments and where? Are you afraid they are digging into your deep Southlake pockets by hosting tounaments in places other than Hurst?

I bet you could look up who is in charge over there and call them...only that would take having a spine and balls...obviously not your strong point.

You and your Southlake cronies are a big part of the fastpitch problem in North Texas....why can't you all just get along and quit blasting each other all the time....doesn't it get old being so damn bitter Mr. Goodman?

Lala,

Quit bashing??? How can I even begin to compare to the one who has perfected the technique on HB. You've bashed Batbusters, Tuggey, Goodman, Southlake and others on this site relentessly and now you're crying about it??? Puleeze...

I don't speak for any of those that you "bash" here, however, I'll be happy to speak for those of us who are just giddy about the demise of ASA in Fort Worth. They (you) dug their own hole and now watching the the train wreck is gonna be fun.
