Enjoy your time in the kiddie pool.

Here's a simple fact for an obvious simple mind .The teams of 2009 in all regions, states and cities are not last years teams or the teams from 2, 5, or 10 years ago who have "skins on the walls" (WTF ever that means but it is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard). Your Dung beetle rant at the end of your post shows how easily distracted you are by the teams in the Houston area. Considering the ignorance you demonstrated above I haven't seen any of the North Texas teams traveling south to prove their dominance just like the south Texas teams don't travel north.

Here are places 1-5 for all of the 12U ASA A championships I took the liberty of coloring Houston area teams Red and Dallas area teams Blue I don't see a "skin" one for North Texas but I do see a 3rd place for Houston. California has great teams no doubt about it but when it comes to Texas The talent seems to be in Houston. Don't side track with other age groups either this is a 12U thread these are 12U results.

But just in case I added the 14U's and 10U's at the bottom count the red and count the Blue Statistics never lie. Hope you enjoy your fight to the top of the "pile"

P.S I was going to post results through "10th" but then it really gets embarASSing for North Texas

Wow!!! My bad!!!! A rebuttal of facts? Let's see, in your book I found 1 fact, that being that the Nemesis team should win this tournament. I do think that most post have made that Prediction (if not all). Don't see any bragging, just alot of post with simple opinions on what each ones thoughts are. Now, you sound like an angry person cause your team must not be getting any luv on here!!! I would suggest to you to step out of the wade pool and into the kiddy pool if you want that luv!!!! :D :) ;) :o :( :? 8-) :x :P      :!: :?:   :| :geek: :ugeek: Have a nice day

coasterhead7 wrote:This post is more entertaining than Jerry Springer. I do have a few questions for some of you so-called experts.

How many of you geniuses have ever seen the Oklahoma Nemesis play ever or in the last 6 months? I quite certain that number is less than 5. The fact is they are the real deal and if they dont win this thing going away than they should probably cancel plans for Normal and play in the US Open in Beaumont this summer.

What is the fascination with the 96 Lady Longhorns? I have read comments about they have "dramatically" improced their team. Really???? I am not sure if they are in the Top3 in the DFW area. Again, who has really seen them play or are these just parents hyping up their team.

The most over-hyped team of all time is the American Liberty Kruzers 97.

Smacktalk, are you really serious when you say that the 3 Houston teams are not playing against each other but playing against California!!!! I am 100% certain that you and those other teams are not even on California's radar. You have never played these teams. The real top teams in CA. You have no idea how good they are and how insignificant you are to them. The fact is they only worry about themselves, other top teams in CA and maybe a handful of other teams throughout the country. Teams like Indiana Thunder 96, Frost Comets, maybe a team from Arizona or Florida and maybe the 96 Diamonds. In fact, I invite some of my CA friends to correct me if I am wrong. Let me ask you something, is this Peppers team the same as that Showdown Orange team coached by the same guy a few years back? How many games have you or some of the other top teams from Houston played against older competition. How many tournaments have you all (meaning the top houston teams) played up in? What is your record against these teams. Again I am talking about A or Open tournaments, not B ball.

I get so tired of coming on here and seeing Houston hijack every post in the Texas board. You guys are constantly trying to out do one another on HB instead of on the field against the very best competition. In fact you remind me of a bunch of dung beetles fighting over their spot at the top of the pile of crap. Why dont all of you get together and host a tournament and call it the Dung Beetle Classic and that way we can settle once and for all who the best is at the top of that piece of crap. Or maybe grow and pair and play a tournament with the real best teams in Texas. I know there is the HOF in San Antonio but I just thought you might want to see your competition before then.

Until proven otherwise, the very best teams in the state are in North Texas. They have skins on the wall that nobody else has and more importantly, they have the respect of those that matter the most...the best teams in the USA. Just ask CA or the Comets or Oklahoma Nemesis.

You have some valid points in your post. I would like to add that OK Nemesis have been in battle with the 96 Diamonds and traded victories with them in every match-up. So if they played 10 times, it could be a fifty-fifty. That said, I look at the teams that are good competition with the Diamonds like the 95 Kruzers, Texas Travellers, and 96 Longhorns and the score is always reflective to competitive contests. The 97 Kruzers have yet to beat the 96 Diamonds, Longhorns or Travellers. What is interesting about the 97 Kruzers is that they are a 1st year 12U playing in "A" or "Open" tournaments only and loaded up with 14U/(1)16U tournaments to help them prepare for 12U tournaments. "Over-Hyped" has a negative connotation as if they aren't good competitive team. Looking at their VTD archives and schedule, they are preparing to challenge the best unlike some of the trophy hunters south of the DFW.

Good post and I'm eager to see what transpires as the draw has been "unscripted" and the unknown occurs.

Now that's the spirit! REALLY, my friend, you really have a lot of time on your hands. What's the matter, did you call in sick today because somebody said some mean things about you or your team?

First, I commend you for all of your hard work. Great Job! Houston is the obvious winner.

A few comments though...you are right about this being a 12U thread. As such, we are talking about 96 and 97 teams only. So while I congratulate you on all of your hard work, it really is not pertinent to this discussion regarding the current 12U teams.

Here are some statements in my original post which have yet to be answered or proven inaccurate:

How many of you have seen the Oklahoma Nemesis play in the last 6 months? Here is a bonus question regarding that team...Can you tell me all of the team names this team has held over the last 5 years?

How many of you have seen the 96 Lady Longhorns play over this same time period?

How many of you have played some of the top teams from CA or across the US?

Is this peppers team originally a Showdown Orange team coached by the same guy?

How many A tournaments have the current top Houston teams played up in over the last 5 years? What was your record?

Do you have the respect of the top teams from CA, Comets, Nemesis, etc?

Finally, a new question. How many of the current top teams from Houston have played in an ASA A Nationals?

Oh, and by the way, the floaties pic was hilarious! Truly! However, realize this, I have been in the big pool for the last 5 years and I have yet to see any of you.

I look forward to your meaningful responses.
Damnit ......., get your head in the game!

CoasterHead7 is obviously a Diamonds parents since they only mention the respect of the teams they played at ASA A nationals 2 years ago...

Anyone who knows 12u ball knows the Mesquite Diamonds are a great team, you made your "skins" well known.

Oh yeah I only know one the answer to one of your questions-
Oklahoma Nemesis = TNT White / Oklahoma Force, they are obviously still a strong team to give you the respect your Diamonds deserve

and thanks Denver Dog for the laughs, that was a good one!!

I saw the OK Nemesis/Force team play ion McKinney last year and at ASA Southern which they won. ( I do not consider Southern the big Pool)

I have also seen the 96 longhorns play this past fall (see my prediction on their pool).

I have travel across the US and watched many games with CA teams. Some are very good some are not. Similar to other areas of the country. I will admit they have dominated ASA in all age groups for a long time and probabaly will continue because of the mindset of the parents, player and coaches.

I cant comment on your question about the Peppers. Don't know don't care.

As for Houston teams playing up and attending ASA. Some do some don't. Again Don't care.

I am not from Houston but know there are good teams. Just like DFW, Cen Tex, South Tex and West TX.
