Saw the schedule for the Nov 9 weekend, the Aces sponsored event is missing most of Houston's gold teams. More of the Impact/SI led retribution, or are teams simply shutting down after RMD? Anyone know?

What I do know is that "they" were all invited but for one reason or another decided this wasn't a tournament they wanted to play in. C'mon, a bracket tournament the weekend after the RM?? It is a no brainer to me, but then again, what do I know about brains?? LOL

I heard Pools will be played Friday night and Bracket starts at 9:00 A.M. Saturday morning. This probably doesn't help but it gives you a idea of how its setup.

I would like to see the schedule as well and I'm not even from TX and to deny the fact that many of the top teams are not playing in the tournament for whatever reason is just childish.

The reason I care so much is my youngest is off this weekend and I wanted catch some softball this weekend. Their are some really good teams still playing this weekend Tx Bombers,Aces ect. But thank you for your 2 cents to the thread. And thank you Bleacher.

For the teams that are in the Gold Cup it looks like it is going to be a good weekend of softball with whatever teams are in it. Too bad the big boys didn't want to be part of it. As far as coaches, this looks like the tournament is at least at one place and not all over Houston. It makes it worthy for the college coaches to attend. Good luck to all the teams.

The second best comment was in jest. I actually believe at least one, if not two, of the teams in this tournament will do better in Clearwater than IG will. IG can't avoid the second best team forever. We'll have to see what happens this summer.
