I just love it when I read this strand and feel the love.

Me too. Just sittin on the doc of the bay, watchin my time slip away......... I'm just wondering if texasugly can give the names of a few teams that he/she thinks has a good #1 and good defense that maybe "P" will/should play before he/she determines if "P" is the real deal. I have seen the pitcher throw and she is the real deal, not sold on their defense yet as I haven't seen them play but a couple times this year.

I would like to see Pearland play Bryan. They can hit. That would be a decent start.

One more thing bung hole Ugly, Pearland has outscored thier opponents 146 - 21. I gues in YHO it is only because we areplaying weak teams with weak pitching. Who does your dd play for? Have we played ya'll yet?I know you not going to give up that info because you like to hide behind a screen name. Go Lady Oilers!!! BTHO Sam Rayburn!!

Alvin really? Id rather come watch when you get out of tge Houston area and play Cent. TX or N. TX. But you are right. We will see where P stands in the end. Ill be watching from behind the plate. Good night all.

I get the Cen TX reference, but when was the last time a NTX team won a 4A or 5A softball title? Been 5 years. CTX and Hou have shared the titles since 2008 splitting them with 4 a peice (that includes a Pearland State Title). Not even sure a NTX team has played in a title game since Aledo in 2008.

Well lets see what these teams did this weekend at sienna...
FlowerMound went 3-3 allowed 25 runs and scored 32(not someone i would put in as a good team)We scored 5 on them
deerpark went 6-0 allowed 8 runs and scored 33(not to shabby)
We didn't play them
santa fe went 2-4 allowed 17 runs and scored 29
We scored 2 on them
cinco ranch went 3-2 allowed 27 runs and scored 33
We scored 5 on them
clear brook went 2-4 allowed 51 runs and scored 27
We scored double digits on them and I left that off of my original post because I didn't think it needed to be put on there.
ridge point went 3-2 allowed 17 runs and scored 25
We scored 5 on them

Out of the teams you played they are basically a .500 team. on average give up atleast 6 runs per game. I would say that is not stellar defense.

The way I figured it, the teams listed gave up less than 5 runs a game and if you subtract our games, it is even less than that. Why don't you just face it dude or dudett??

You can take the stats away and the losses against each other away also. Either way, like you said in a previous post. We will wait and see who is standing at the end. But I do not see it being the Lady Oilers.

Lets face it, PO is damn good and there are others also.

Texas Coaches 5A poll has Cy-Fair ahead of Pearland. Big deal. Shouldn't be. Maxpreps said last week that Cy-Fair had beaten Pearland. We all know that to be false.

Good luck to all the ladies out there. Yes, some have better teams and that will always be the case, but the game still has to be played. If I recall, KO had a mystical number 1, 4 yrs ago, and proceeded to lay an egg.

To all the young ladies reading the banter: Enjoy your HS years and if your fortunate enough to play at the next level, even better. Just remember there is no substitute for a good education. It will last longer than your softball career.
