How does a 16yo get on a 14U roster? Do the managers lie about the birthdate? Obviously someone recognized her and protested - correct?

Secondly - why would the parents approve of this? This sort of thing goes way beyond just wanting to win, this is a violation of everything we try to teach the kids.

Lastly - this girl and her parents knew what she was doing was wrong - why shouldn't ASA ban her for life. She is obviously old enough to recognize that it was wrong .. I mean, she knew she wasn't 14! Ban her for life - teach everyone a lesson.

Are you sure this was an age issue?
Maybe she was on two rosters and the first never released her I think this happened last year in Alabama 12u ASA nats

The young lady in question is not 16yo, she is 13. ALS has two players that could have been questioned but the younger one was. Both of these girls were on another teams championship roster, they could only be picked up by a team from their area of registration. As far as teaching her a lesson, it sounds like the Coach is the one that needs to be taught a lesson!

No, I don't expect a video since I have 4 eyes there already. I would hope they could post more than three 8:00 PM second round winner's bracket game results on their 12MN update. If you look, they still have not posted the results from most of last nights' 2nd round games in the winners' bracket, but some of those teams playing in those games are already showing up in the losers' bracket. However, they do a good job of keeping up with the boards at the fields .

They update their website every couple of hours with scores and brackets. What are you hoping for, live video?
