As far as my predictions: Missed with the Magic. Never heard of the Big Red.

Thought MC Magic would pull a berth out of this one. Anyone know what happened to them. Haven't seen a bracket. Hawks are always a tough out. Don't know much about Mean Green or Big Red. Congrats to all.

MG beat them 4-3 in ITB, after tying the game with a 3 run homer with time expired. I think that busted their bubble and they lost all momentum and couldnt pull out another win.

Congratulations to The Hawks. Saw your game against the Phantoms with the 4 run inning to tie the game and the squeeze to win it! CLASSIC! Watched the run rule in the championship game and you guys were still going full speed! In that heat, that was impressive! 3rd or 4th game of the day, that was nice. They were the best team that I saw at the tournament. Good team speed top to bottom and strong pitching.
Mean Green was pretty impressive in their game against the Magic. Home run to tie it with no time on the clock. Awesome! They have one pitcher that throws smoke! She was wild in the championship game and the Hawks fed off of that.
Big Red out of Waco played a heck of a tournament but just ran out of gas against Mean Green. Not a great defense, but they can hit! Pitching was pretty good and they had some team speed. They had a couple of big kids that hit the ball well.
Magic looked good right up until that home run! Then it seemed that the heat got to them. Usually they play through adversity like that. Really surprised to see them not get their berth. Saw them leave a lot of baserunners in scoring position and that is where they usually shine. They are one of the best run producing teams around.
Phantoms team surprised some folks (including me). They went as far as their pitching would take them. Not a great hitting team, but they made the most of it when they had chances. Coach kind of put himself behind the 8 ball in the Hawks game. They could have worked in another inning had they not tried to work the clock. (as the visitors in the game)
The Hawks, Mean Green and Big Red should represent Texas well at Nationals. All three were classy teams that played hard, fundamental softball. Fun to watch!
I expect the Magic to get their berth at Regionals.
