12U Sugarland this weekend 4-25/26

What about the Deer Park tournament?

We played up in Deer Park this weekend. The pool games were canceled because of weather and we went straight into bracket play. When I showed up Sat around 12 I thought for sure I'd just made the hour plus drive for nothing. The field we were scheduled to play on (field 5) was in very bad shape, but hats off to the tournament field crew. It took enough rounds on the toro that I was sure the driver was dizzy but the field ended up in playable shape, as were all the fields out there.

Again great job on keeping the fields in shape during some nasty weather.

Where is Thunder and Fury playing, can't find them anywhere! I would think every team out there is playing this weekend.

We would love to be able to play in Sugarland this weekend but we have a few girls out of town. We will be back in action next weekend at our Invitational at Burroughs along with a few other teams that are considered to be in the top 5.

Way to go RED HOTS. No one on this board even had this team in the top picks and they win it all taking out the ACES and the PEPPERS both of these teams are named in the top 5 in the Houston area. Great job RED HOTS.

classic case of "Cant hit the average to below average pitching" coupled with a great redhots defense. They are a great little team that had a great weekend but this does not make them a top 5. I would put them in the top 10 for sure. I would say they are the best 97 team in the area with HV being the second best in the area.

seems like smak is just a bit upset that a 97 team gave his team problems..
if a team can't adjust to "avg to below avg pitching" and not allow the other team to score in the process, then things are not as clear in Houston as they should be..

Don't take me wrong, I'm not trying to say that one 1st place trophy makes this team a top 5. I have to agree that a slow pitch is hard to adjust to sometimes and when that happens your team had better be able to shut down the other teams bats or down you go. I was just trying to say maybe the top 5 need to be on their toes when playing this scrappy little team.

Not really sure why the Peppers pitched their #3 pitcher in the Championship game. Are their other pitchers injuried by chance?? But you do have to hit to win and they got shut out so obviously they didn't hit.

Who is supposed to play this weekend in Tomball if it ends up making with all this rain?
