12U Teams

by Merlin » Wed Jan 14, 2009 12:52 pm

I hope these teams try to compete with one another as much as possible so they can all get better and represent Texas well at Nationals. People should not care how they do against each other or which one is #1, #2 or #3. Get focused on the BIG picture and the LAST GAME OF THE YEAR!

Well put ZIG...

I'll chime in with the vote for the Peppers, Bandits and Thunder, but think about what they have in common.....good coaches, good dads to help, and good stability. Look what happens when you have the opposite as witnessed by the Sting and some other unfortunate teams. Each of these teams have weaknesses. Peppers have the upper hand so far, but its all about playing time so we'll see if they can make it work. Bandits picked up another player, but perhaps just got someone elses problem, and the Thunder really needs that new pitcher to help them hang in there on Sunday....problem is, she won't pitch on Friday or Saturday.

Going to be interesting!

I think that would depend on who the third pitcher was. Not sure if any top tier pitchers are responding, but I bet if they were fortunate enough to land a Top Notch pitcher that she would get plenty of time, don't under estimate those coaches they know what they are doing. But they will still be chasing the Peppers!

On another note, the Aces should rename themselves the Dueces because thats all they have. Their Duo is no stranger to change and it would not surprise me to see one of them, or both, make a change. The Dueces look like they are up to 13 and still looking. WTF?

and Kaos, did you see their announcement "All Texas Kaos teams will share in this vision for developing players and creating winning environments". Like we did not know about their sharing strategy. hahaha.

Dang if they got the best player from the sting the bandits could be unbeatable!!!

PAAALLLLEEEEEEZZZZZZZ! UNBEATABLE? Do you really think one player can make a team unbeatable? Do you really think any team is unbeatable? Maybe they will not get beaten anymore by 97 teams, the Pearland Bandits are definately beatable. They may have got the best player that was left on the Sting, but the best 2 players from the Sting had already left and are now on the Peppers. If you want to talk about "UNBEATABLE" maybe you should be talking Peppers, they added some talent and cut some fat... and have better coaching.

I will agree that the Bandits were good, and probably got better. But they have several 2/3 tool players that have their share of weeknesses.

Maybe you should start a knew thread "UNBEATABLE TEAMS"

Asmackdaddy- Anyone who would refer to 12 year old ex-teammates of your daughter, leaving her team as "cutting some fat" is a despicable human being in my book. The Peppers Organization as a whole should be embarassed to have someone like you associated with them.

fastpitchforever- Don't pay attention to asmackdaddy. His spends his days trying to figure out how to bash and put down other teams and organizations that compete against his daughter so he can feel better about himself. He really seems bitter towards the kaos organization for some reason. He constantly bashes the 12's on this thread and now it looks like he has started going after their 10's. I think their 8's are posting for try outs so I am sure they will be next. I'm sure everyone involved with the kaos knows who this is since he is now with the peppers and was once a part of the kaos organization and either was cut from a team, or more likely seeing how he carries himself on these boards was asked to leave.

I have always found it funny that parents bounce there children from team to team like they are free agents. Nothing like teaching your kids to get goin when the goin gets tough. I am more curious to see how many of these free agents are still playing ball in 4 years.

Hey Reb, I agree but my additional comment here may shock some. I think if your DD is a career player headed for college ball, the club team is just a means to an end. This becomes much more obvious at the Gold level, but it even starts now at 12U in preparation. I think the only real reason to switch teams is to improve the coaching your player gets, and if she is worth a hoot, playing time should never be a reason to change teams! Uh, well unless the coaches daughter plays the same position......

Hey asmack, you seem kind of high on the peppers. Let me guess who you play for. I get kind of tired of hearing about the peppers and how they are #1. Did anyone besides me see them get beat at the end of the fall season by the woodlands thunder. Why is everyone so sure that this is a top three team for this season?

Looks like the Fury may be looking to stack the deck. They picked up the Woodland Thunders best athlete and pitcher.
The Fury will be one of the top teams!!
