Houston Area High School Softball

I have heard that 55 will be back before the season starts for The Woodlands.

We played them twice last season and they have more than her. They had a lot of top notch juniors on that team last year. Kingwood has a pitcher and very little else.

Pearland is getting a GOOD pitcher in, but she is a freshman and needs to grow up quick.

Katy will be good again. They have solid pitching and seem to be well coached and that wins ball games. I think they will win that district again.

Bellaire graduated a load of kids. Watching how he transistions will be interesting.

Tomball graduated their undeniable team leader (SS) and they didnt have anyone else last year. When the starting SS when in to pitch, the replacement was just not a SS. They lost their CF and their backup pitcher/OF/#2 hitter. Don't expect them to be near what they were last year.

The Woodlands pitcher had arm surgery this fall. The word is she will not pitch for her high school team this year. There is also doubt that she will pitch gold this summer.

Heard that as well. But they(Woodlands) also have a Freshman(pitcher) that will help them get through the season. You have 8 other spots on the field..... most of those 8 are returning seniors

Good Luck to ya

Everybody is entitled to an opinion but could you please explain to me what you mean by "grow up quick"?

Long story short, she will do her own talking on the field both offensively and defensively!
If it ain't broke, why fix it??

That is what I figured too, just wanted to hear Sam the Shams answer as I already know you know it all. LOL

Manvel picked up a pretty good pitcher, I think they will challenge Santa Fe in the district and potentially the area.

looks like district 8-5A will be the toughest one again. Plano High is loaded with Seniors, Plano East only graduated a few, Hebron graduated a few, looks like Flower Mound Marcus will be most effected by graduation.

District 7-5A looks to be very competitive again as well.

District 5-5A should be interesting at the top as well

Yes 8-5A will be the toughest. Strong pitching at all of the ones you mentioned and FM.
