We will not engage in the business for beating down an individual for the mistakes of his brother....in regards to any other mistakes made , if our empathy in this situation is criticized then thats fine , but to make broad accusations like "If you're going to try out for the bombers, make sure you don't let any of your kids out of your sight." crosses the line! At some point people in Texas are going to be able to co-exist in this world we call fastpitch softball in Texas. As well we will also get tired of letting people get on open forums , hide behind a screen name and bash people and spew hatred for the sole purpose of doing so!
No one ever said you were employing his brother. For me though, if I'm running an organization, I don't want my name anywhere near being associated with a guy who knowingly allowed a sex offender around teenage girls. You see it differently and we can respectfully agree to disagree. In that I suppose I am criticizing you, but it's your apathy I don't agree with. After re-reading, I agree that I did cross the line with my statement and for that I apologize.
okla21fan wrote:You brought up ASA official's by name and opined that they swept this under the rug, so yes, you are implying that this is an ASA problem. where was a ball dropped? Playing in ineligible player in ASA Championship play usually results in a one year suspension. That time has passed, the coach in question paid for a mistake. That part is a moot point
As for the other accusations you seem to assert, I'll leave that one alone as the facts are not even close to being clear. Personally, I would have simply gone to FTW ASA with your concerns instead of trashing this guy on the message board.
Am I wrong? Did ASA actually do something about the matter? If they did, then they will get my sincerest apologies. I was not the one that first said ASA was taking care of this. Ron Withee said that. I'm not implying anything at all. If what Ron said was true, and nothing was done-that is where the ball was dropped. What facts have I stated that are not true? Did Shaune Flanagan not expose himself to a 10 year old and a 12 year old boy? Did his brother not allow him to coach with him?
Fred wrote:Not so fast there slimeball. You dug up the post below that detailed problems with the guy's brother and now you want to talk about an alleged ASA infraction? Really? You and Justabugger falsely accuse this guy of sexual misconduct and now we remember? Oops!!! It's his brother?
You sir...are a POS! Justa too!
I didn't falsely accuse anyone of anything. Shaune Flanagan ecommited sexual crimes per the state of Texas. You have beef with someone accusing him of that, take it up with them. Please post where I ever mistook Thomas for his brother. All I said was that he employed a sex offender. He did! I think that's wrong. If you're ok with it that's fine but you sir are the one that needs to get his facts straight and do better research.
