Yeah, my mistake. Was thinking of 97 Cobras. I see Swing has changed names. What's up with that.

Swing is now under the umbrella of Kingwood Girls Softball as the Texas Heat...

There is one less choice for 12U

I hear that the SK Impact 96 packed it in today...

If you are looking for a competitive second year team with girls from all over the Houston area, look at the Texas Ice 96 team. We played them several times this past season and they did very well against the second year teams. They will make some noise this season and they picked up a new coach that came from the another 12U team. Definitely a team to look into.

According to their posting, Mark Reyes is now part of the existing staff. If memory serves me correctly he used to coach the 10U Showstoppers that took 2nd at USFA last year and was the coach for the 12U Texas Aces. He will be a good addition to that team. It looks like Impact 96 lost 4 of their main girls to the Power. Should be some interesting games in the 12U division.

Here is his resume. In the Fall of 06 he started the year with Impact 96. Then he left and started the showstoppers. In the Fall of 07 he started with Kaos 96, then left and went to the Aces and finished the year with Tx Ice.

Pretty sure there werent 4 Impact 96 girls that went to Power. 5 Impact girls did go to the Tx Fury though.
