Keller always looks good during the regular season...they do not have the pitching to take them into June. Look for Hebron to make another run.

Is Hebron even going to get in this year. Heard they were outside the 4th spot looking in a few weeks ago.

well based on the standings today it looks like Hebron has made it in but surprise is that Plano East isn't. Looks like Hebron and Flower Mound have to decide the 3 and 4 seed with Flower Mound Marcus 2nd and Plano number one. The other interesting note is this district matches up against the Keller and Denton Guyer district for round one games and then possible again in round three.

You can sneak up on them, Reb. They are overconfident :!:

I like Tomball. I understand that they might play Atascocita in the first round. Tomball has enough offense to toast most anybody

I have no clue if they are overconfident. I have just seen both teams play and that Woodlands team is good. They don't have any weaknesses that I saw. Pitcher throws smoke. Catcher has a rocket arm. All defensive positions are rock solid. All of their players know where to go on every play. They can bunt, they can hit, they play unbelievable defense.

Their coach told me that they have SEVEN starters committed to play Division 1 softball. What's even more scary is that they are only graduating 2 from this team!

It's interesting that Tomball doesn't get the hype that other teams do, until they are further into play-offs. Some of these same posters predicted nothing from Tomball last year, yet they made it to State. Woodlands does have a fantastic team, but they are not unbeatable. Tomball beat them 2-1 in fall ball. Any given day, the "unbeatable" #1 ranked teams can lose to a team that plays with alot of heart and desire. I have seen alot of heart from Tomball year in and year out. Even in years where they were #4 in district, they have gone deep in play-offs. They also have many D1 starters. I believe it's 6, with another committed to a quality D2 school and others with D1 offers that are being considered. Their whole line-up can hit and even deep into the bench, they have some awesome hitters. Of the 9 starters, 8 have gone yard this year, with several girls around the 10 HR mark (or more for one of the players) for the season. Good luck to both teams as we'd love to see Houston teams at State!
