Report from VTD Nationals

Took some Pictures.. As you can see Joe and his boyfriend is having a great time at the VTD parade.

Funny....uhmmmm...but Joe's sitting in some nice, cool a/c... a toasty 70 degrees...while I guess you're out in the heat crying about VTD and your full pitas....

I did see some of upyournose up that one guy's nostril though. He needs to dig that one out....

I am curious as to everyone's thoughts of the VTD Nationals following its conclusion. I thought the gate fee's for kids and players was a joke.

How can you tell a player competing in the VTD event that they have to pay a gate fee at another park? That's like telling a coach that he has to pay if he goes to another park even though he has a coaches band.

Maybe in the future they can just charge the gate fee to the teams as part of the entry fee like they do for the USFA world series to avoid the hastle of the gate police.

In trying to follow the brackets of some of the other VTD events the brackets were never updated, even as of this morning. How is this possible? I would of thought that it would be mandatory to update your national event brackets. Why even post a bracket in the first place if your not going to keep it updated?

Those are just my thoughts, take it for what it's worth.

Since when is a 4 state friendly labeled as a national event?I feel VTD now means Very Tiny & Done.

Why is anyone commenting on VTD Nationals and World Series? It is nothing more than and over hyped local tourney anyways. Not many teams in the 14U age division that are making their way to ASA nationals. Who cares if you win it, that's a good one for your ETEAMZ home page ! That is not a huge accomplishment North Texas!

I am so glad that VTD came along to save us from big bad ASA!!! Seems to me it was more of the same here. Nothing different except the fact that VTD decided to charge 4 year olds. Granted ASA charges 6 year olds. To me VTD lost it's chance to prove itself different. Gate Fees on kids would have been a start.

Danny...don't kid yourself. The fall schedule is around the corner and once again teams will flock to the VTD parks...and Ghettoway, and Irving will once again collect the cobwebs, leaving GG and Big Dave with plenty of time to plan, scheme, and ponder their next move...

Did VTD get it right? No way...absolutely not! After decades of doing the same...has ASA ever?
