Awards

Awards Package sizes will be based on the number of teams in the tournament. Below is the full size package that will be awarded for divisions with more than 32 teams per division.
1. Team trophies to the top six teams
2. Individual awards to the top six teams
3. Team Travel award; Team that travels the farthest (awarded during Opening Parade)
4. MVP (2) award (awarded during Championship game)

Player Competition Awards
"Power In A Ponytail"

AROUND THE HORN- each team will have 4 players for this event. 1 player at home, 1 player at 1st, 1 player at 2nd, 1 player at 3rd and they will throw the ball from home to 1st, 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to home. The team with the best time will win. 1st-2nd place winners

HOME RUN DERBY- each team will have 3 players for this event. Each player will get 3 balls which will be fed through a pitching machine and will require your own coach or feeder. The players that hit the ball the longest distance will win. 1st-2nd place winners

TEAM BASE RUNNING RELAY- each team will have 4 players for this event. Each player will start at home and run around the bases and tag the next one and so on. The team with the best time will win. 1st-2nd place winners

CATCHER OR PLAYER ACCURACY THROW- each team will have 3 players for this event. Each player will throw the ball to 2nd at 2nd a bucket will be placed in a chair, points will be given for hitting the chair, hitting the bucket and hitting the bucket off the chair. 3 balls will be given to each player. 1st-2nd place winners

This should give each player a chance to play in the "Power In A Ponytail" competition. You MUST have 4 players in Around The Horn and Team Base Running to compete. The Catcher or Player Accuracy Throw and the Home Run Derby may have less.

For the Grand finale and Awards Presentation of the "Power In a Ponytail" competition we will have a special competition for the COACH.

COACH BASE RUNNING- each team will have 1 coach for this event. Each coach will start at home and run around the bases once. The coach with the best time will win. Coach must be listed as one of the coaches on the roster to compete. The coach with the best time wins.

Opening Parade and Gift Exchange
There will be a non-mandatory team gift exchange during Opening Parade. Teams wishing to participate should bring something that is representative of their home area, the value of which is not important. It is recommended that teams bring a minimum of 16 gifts to exchange. Please let me know if your team will be participating. I will be pairing teams up from other states/areas if possible.

Yea sorry these drinks are not beer! I am sure we can set aside some adult time for adult drinks after all youth events are over.
