The Platinum organization has added another coach to their already great coaching staff.... Cat Osterman has jumped on board..just read it on VTD.

That is great to hear!!!! Is that organization related to the Dallas Donkeys that I have been reading about?

Oh good - another person to invest and put there name on something. Why wouldn't she want her name involved in this money maker?

Why not? If you OR or your kid has an opportunity to be apart of an organization that has that type of coaching, wouldn't you join in??

Couple thoughts on that...
#1 - My point was I'm not sure I'm buying how much "instruction" those players are or will be doing - more like a name to a "business" or camp. For example Michael Jordan use to "host" basketball camps all over the country and show up and make an appearance one of the five days. Not like he did much instructing.
#2 - While I have ZERO doubt those folks know how to play the game and know the game - knowing and teaching are two TOTALLY different things. One of my biggest complaints about some organizations and even colleges is that they hire these former stars to "coach" but they have a lack of ability to do just that - teach and coach. Not everyone can be a teacher/coach - just like not everyone can be a doctor.
I'm not saying this is bad - I'm just saying that NO I wouldn't immediately jump my daughter over to play for this organization just because these former star softball players have "joined forces".

Anyone that wouldnt give the opportunity to their daughter (who could afford it) for that kind of training would be out of their mind. Of course, anyone that is 6'3" better be able to bring it...

I have heard on different occasions that she is not a "kid" friendly person. But I do not know first hand. I have seen her a couple of times and she does not give the kids much of her time... But why Platinum? The Austin Stars have a better program don't they?

Two DDs attended UT camp when she was there. She's as friendly as they come.
