HATING HS ball. Although if we lived one school zone over I might actually be enjoying it. Amazing what zoning does to the talent pool at our schools. Only 7 more games to go though, that I can be happy about

Summertime right around the corner, DD and I can't wait!

Not really sure why, but I have enjoyed High school this season (DD is a Jr) , and the summer season does not sound all that great. The thought of going to exposures this summer already seems like torture.

I hear you about the exposure camps. The whole recruiting part is tough on you mentally if nothing else. Mine is a freshman and we have been sending out packets and making contact to schools now for the last 6-8 months. Better to be early though than late..

Anyone know of any 18u (or very good 16u) round robins, friendly's or tourneys (Houston area) in the month of May? We won't have everyone back from playoffs most likely but our first qualifier is May 29th so we will need to get some games in before then!

The count down for HS ball to be over started the minute it started!! Some of these coaches need a reality check...It's the select coaches (at least ours) that are working/teaching these girls..Piece of paper on their wall doesn't mean squat!

It sure makes you consider getting your teaching certificate. i know if i thought I could handle some of these turds in class I would be all over it..lol

HS ball sucks. DD's coach told them that he can teach them better than their select team coaches. If anyone talks about their select team coach they are benched for the next game. Can't wait until the real season starts.

I personally like to "bash" HS coaches on occasion as well...but like anything be careful to make such wide generalizations. There are some good HS coaches out there and I can name a fair share of really TERRIBLE select coaches as well. Like with any profession there are some who suck and some who are good. Just seems like many HS softball coaches are there for reasons other than coaching softball....like they coach football and just do softball on the side.
