TX Storm Elite (Vaughan) A+
This team is playing the best in the Houston area right now.
They have 3 Good pitcher’s with one being Dominate.
They can hit and play small ball. They do a very good job of mixing it up.
This team is very fast throughout the lineup putting consistent pressure all the time.
This team is very sound defensively.
This team should qualify for Bloomington if they don’t peak too soon.
This team is a Houston Metro team

TX Red Hots (Isles) A
This team has been inconsistent thru the beginning of the spring.
They have 3 Solid pitcher’s with one being Dominate.
They can hit and play small ball. They need to get back to what they do best and that is playing small ball with hitting mixed in.
This team has the most team speed of any in Houston area.
This team is very sound defensively.
This team should qualify for Bloomington, once they start to gel with the new player’s they have added to there roster.
This team is a State team.

TX Ice (Hernandez) A
This team has played well thru the fall and the beginning of the spring. They have really hit the ball well.
They have 2 Solid pitchers’ with one being Very Dominate.
This team can hit and have 2 much feared hitter’s in the middle of there lineup. Heard they only have 8 on there roster so they need to add a couple players.
This team has Average team speed so they will have to hit to beat the better teams.
This team is sound defensively.
This team should qualify for Bloomington, once they fill there roster.
This team is a Houston Metro team.

TX High Voltage (Miller) A-
Haven’t seen much of this team thru the fall and spring. Time will tell once they play more.
They have 2 solid pitchers’ with both being Very good to Dominate.
This team should hit the ball well, but haven’t seen much of them due to lack of play.
This team has above average speed with a couple that can run, need to work the small ball game more. Don’t use it very much.
This team is sound defensively but have looked shaky this fall and spring.
This team should qualify for Bloomington but time will tell once they hit the field consistently.
This team is a Houston Metro team.

TX Rattlers (Guerrero) A-
This team has played well thru the fall and spring. They have really hit the ball well.
They have 3 pitchers but only one of them is#1. A little light on pitching.
This team can hit and have the best 12U hitter in the middle of there lineup. This team has to score to win.
This team has average speed with a couple of speedsters and run the bases well.
This team is sound defensively.
This team should qualify for Bloomington; it will be harder if they are a Metro team.
Is this team a Metro or State team??????

TX Heat (Bryson) A-
This team has come on strong this spring. They have hit and pitched well.
They have 3 pitchers and one is pitching very well.
This team has hit well this spring, but time will tell when they play the teams above consistently.
This team has average speed and has to hit to score. Mix small ball in when situation dictates.
This team is sound defensively.
This team can qualify for Bloomington, but will need some help at HOF. The more that qualify at HOF from Metro will open more up at Metro Championship/Qualifiers.
This team is a Metro team.

TX Sting (McKinney) B+
This team played well in the fall but has struggled a little this spring.
This team has 3 pitchers and the 98 is carrying the staff. One has real control issues and time will tell to see if they get it fixed.
This team has been sporadic hitting the ball. Have a girl in the middle of there lineup that has been yard twice this spring. Good pitching has kept them in check.
This team has average speed with a couple of speedsters at top of lineup.
This team is sound defensively.
This team can qualify for Bloomington, but will need some help at HOF. The more that qualify at HOF from Metro will open more up at Metro Championship/Qualifiers.
This team is a Metro team.

TX Stars (Gonzales) B
This team has played well this spring. They have gotten it done when they have played.
This team has 2 pitchers with one being good.
This team doesn’t wow you but they have timely hitting and execute small ball when needed.
This team has above average speed with some speedsters.
Play sound defensive and throw strikes.
This team can qualify for Bloomington, but will need some help at HOF. The more that qualify at HOF from State will open more up at State/Qualifiers.
This team is a State team.

TPS 98 (McBride) B
Up and down this spring but should get more consistent as the summer nears. Need to pickup a legit leadoff hitter with some speed.
This team has the best 1, 2 punches of 98 pitchers in 12U.
This team can hit but have been inconsistent because of the change from 10U to 12U.
This team has average speed but is in need of a legit speedster.
This team needs to become more consistent defensively but should come as season plays out.
This team can qualify for Bloomington, but will need some help at HOF. The more that qualify at HOF from Metro will open more up at Metro Championship/Qualifiers.
This team is a Metro team.

Humble Cobras (Searcy) B
Haven’t played much this spring but are fundamentally sound.
This team has 2 pitchers with one being Dominate. This team will go on how she pitches.
This team is an average hitting team.
This team has average team speed but are fundamentally sound running the bases.
This team is very fundamentally sound defensively but lacks the overall talent of the top
Teams.
This team has to have some things go right and #1 pitch well for them to qualify for Bloomington. They will need to qualify when everyone is at HOF and qualifier is going on at the same time.

This is just my opinion :) and giving everyone something to chew on. I think it is a good assessment though 8-) . I will be out to watch some 14U teams the next couple of weeks and will give my assessment on them next.

Interesting assessment. I agree with all teams listed as possibly being the number 1 team with the exception of 3. And who are the Cobras. Never even heard of them before...

Another thing, at this point any of the teams that belong on this list could be number 1 at any time so this poll is silly at this point in time.

Everyone has a opinion. I saw the Storm play in there invitational and they were hitting on ALL Cylinders and Ice played very well also. The Redhots are the Redhots. Time will tell it is still early but everyone needs to start tightening the screws every month before Nationals get here. Peaking at the right time is the KEY!!!!!

I heard thru the softball Grapevine that the Cobras have a shut down pitcher on there roster. I haven't seen her yet and hopefully we will soon.

I agree and disagree with the assessment but it is your opinion.
I'm 100% on board with your assessment that HV needs to PLAY MORE!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i is my $ss hole, i mean opinion,tx thunder is Greater houston area and has beat TPS ,lost red hots 3-2, and brought home hardware each time the visit htown. This week in baytown if they leave back to beaumont with a trophy i'll have to bump them up with rh as top teams.

Just curious but do you consider Deer Park part of Htown, cause I don't remember Thunder taking home any hardware a couple of weeks ago.

of course i do, they are metro. Where did they finish? who did they lose to? i'm sure they where competitive and lost to someone that is considered on the above list. They don't get the competitive games each week as other teams unless they travel overnight. I'm just saying they are in the mix. #7 is a great movement speed control pitcher and if you haven't faced her you have seen them at there best.

If you are revering to the Texas Thunder out of the Golden Triangle area, they got put in the losers bracket by the Texas Heat. Then they got put out the next game by Texas Rage which is not a top 20 team.

So you made the Stars a State team? cough cough   You're saying they're as good as the REdhot's. LMAO............ Come on you must be part of the Stars Org to write some off the wall crap like that. Redhots and Rattlers I can see being a state team but the freaking Stars you're giving them way to much credit. To be honest any of those listed above have the potential to be a state team after the softball I've been watching. The talent has been spread out making it tough to have a one dominant team. You said nothing about the Dark Horse " Hawks" was it a fluke that they contended against most of the teams on this list?
