Congrats to DonnieS

by TXPeppers-1-Dad » Mon Oct 05, 2009 3:09 pm

I had the great opportunity to meet Donnie a couple of weeks ago in Seguin. My dd team played against his younger dd team. Her team can flat out hit the ball. Donnie it was a pleasure to meet you. I also had a chance to meet his older dd, who is currently playing for Texas A&M.

This past weekend, I had the chance to get to watch her play at SK College Classic. Donnie, you should be very proud of her, because you can tell she has a great work ethic. She seems to have everything:

SIZE, SPEED, STRENGTH, and SMARTS.

I believe will we will be hearing her name a lot in the future.

Once again, Congrats to your DD and yourself.

Thanks for the kind words, you are right, I am very lucky and say my prayers of thanks everyday. Between when we met and the College Classic, she came down with H1N1. I spent 5 days with her in isolation after her diagnosis with that nasty disease, feeding her what she calls 'get well food' - (steaks, broccoli, potatoes and more steaks). Thursday before that tournament was the first time she said she felt slightly human. I went to watch her play last night and she told me (Tuesday night) that she now feels all the way back.
