Interesting coaching, I beleive the girls give it all they have on the field but every now and then coaches get out coached and are they man enough to admit it? The easy way out is to blame the girls and chew them out but coaches take a step back and think what you could have done to change the game and didn't before letting the girls have it. If you notice top orginazations that have experienced coaching even though they're down find a way to to come away with the win sometimes girls step it up or coaches coach, to have this happen mid June is sad have you ever heard the term "If it ain't broke don't fix it" Coaches don't change your coaching style that got you to this point we all know that being a coach is one of the hardest jobs out there and sometimes the pressure gets the best of you. One last thing for all of you coaches out there remember this game is for the girls and not for your reputation.

Interesting strategy indeed. Has the team qualified for anything? Will they be staying together?

If you mean have they qualified for ASA Nationals, that would be a "no". I don't know what will happen with this team, but if they do stay together I am sure there will be lots of new faces in the fall.

That strategy might work for boys, but I don't think that is what motivates girls, especially in the 13/14 year old age group. It's good to have coaches that are tough, but it helps to have at least one coach on staff the girls can look too for encouragement and motivation.

You can't win games on pure team talent alone. You still need a nice combo of team talent and smart coaching strategy. Maybe this guy doesn't know how to use his talent. He definately doesn't know how to talk to them.

Good luck to this team.
