MGSA Fall Competitive League

by PeteSoliz » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:28 am

Hello Coaches,

Looking for somewhere to get your girls more competitive play while still focusing on development? Want to tinker with your roster without it being last minute pool games?

MGSA is hosting our Fall Competitive League and registration is going on now. Registration will end August 28th.

We will have a 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and High School division. Games will be played at Gabe Nesbit in McKinney and Craig Ranch in McKinney Texas.

The league is $525 per team and you get 12 games in 6 weeks. Games nights are double headers with game times at 6:30 and 7:45.

For more information go to http://www.mckinneygsa.com/players/comp ... eague.aspx to see who is coming, to get more details or to print off a roster form and mail in.

Contact me with any questions you might have.

Thanks,

Pete Soliz

We joined your summer league and found out that we did NOT have double headers as promised. Four of our eight games were single games spread over 6 days. It was obvious that MGSA was trying to accomodate special requests and for that reason, we will not be playing any league this fall. It's unfortunate but the inconveniece of having families travel over one hour to play a single 55 minute game was truly miserable.

Hi Janes,

You are correct some games were not double headers over the summer because of so many teams asking for scheduling requests. With teams asking for scheduling requests it did put a strain on some of the other teams who were prepared to play the double header format. It was a lesson learned and we are not taking any scheduling requests any longer for the simple fact that it put some teams in an unfair situation. Now any teams that want to play the league will have to play the double header format. Again it was unfortunate that some teams did not get the double header format because some other teams had special requests for games, but we can assure you it won't happen again.

Thanks for your feedback and if you have any other questions or concerns my phone is always on.
