glory did win a game over impact. Played well against Blaze. Actually were up 3 to 0 going into the last at bat and lost 4 to 3. were also tied with Mizuno until an untimely error with 2 outs.

From the words of the great Jim Rome.....the only thing that matters is "Scoreboard". Doesn't matter how scoreboard happens, but it is all that matters.

I am sure a lot of teams lost games that they should have won at the Mizuno Invitational. At tournaments of that caliber, if your not playing your "A" game everygame a lot people can and will go away dissappointed. JMO

The championship game was a good one. Both teams are very good. Cobras have a great defense. Oklahoma hit some great shots that the Cobras were just able to stop. Cobra pitcher kept Oklahoma off balance. Catcher for Cobras has a great arm. Oklahoma seem to have the better hitting team and the Cobras the better defensive team. Both teams are a class act. I'd love to see these 2 teams play again. I beleive it could go either way at any time.

Why are there only 5 of these teams signed up for the USFA state tournament in Beaumont June 11-13? If this is the states best teams I would think they would all be signed up battling for the state championship.

I think there are a couple of reasons....first being that some teams might already be qualified for the World Series and have made other tournament decisions.

There is a big tournament in the DFW area the same weekend as USFA state.

Some teams that were in this tourney will not be playing USFA.

One of several possibilities...

People are saving money. Those planning to go to Nationals in Tennessee don't need to play the Beaumont tournament.

There is a 10U National ASA Qualifier that weekend for those that need to qualify for Tennessee.

Qualifying for USFA Florida is the only reason that you have to play in that tournament

Beaumont is a long trip for a lot of these teams.....

I suspect some might get in once they are definitively qualified to go to Tennessee and don't need that other qualifier.
