Top 50 Showcase....

Kudos to Midwest and their staff for a good fall tournament this weekend. The weather was nice (a little cool and breezy in the AM..) and the parity was very good. The fields were in the best shape I have ever seen out there, and it looked like there were coaches in attendance looking for recruits...hopefully it can continue to be a draw for college coaches to attend and scout our local talent. 8-)

Jag, dollar on observation. I have been vocal in the past about field conditions, etc at Midwest, but they really did a nice job this past weekend. The games were on time, fields were good and there were lots of coaches in attendance. Very good job.

We talked all weekend about the number of coaches there. Good job Dan and staff. I still wish we could have convinced you to turn the fan off!

I have to agree, as well. I've come to have pretty low expectations for field conditions/prep at Midwest, but this weekend they really stepped up their game. Fields were raked, drug and even lined multiple times a day. I hope this is an indication of what can be expected in the future. Saturday morning the winds made it seem like the dead of winter. I think they were trying to make the North Dakota coach I saw feel at home. All in all, it was a pretty good weekend and there was a decent turnout of coaches.
