Local HS Coach not getting contract renewed

All kinds of hubbub going on here. Some happy some sad. It will be an interesting transition.

Coach has been here for 8 years? always winning record. 1st year took team to state final. since then I think 1 or 2 sectional championships. There has been some parents very upset over a "hazing " type incident a year or so ago and a couple of the better players decided not to play due to this is issue and others. This coach used to be very active with the youth program but has been non existant for a couple years. The assistants are not invited back either.

I will say they have done a lot for the program but at the same time they have also not been very good in the PR department as a whole lately. They have never been supportive of travel in anyway unless it is just kids from the local community. I have tried to be involved with their group for the past few years but have never been invited in. Its almost as tho they do not trust anyone outside their little click...well their little click is graduating and moving on!!
