Best 12Us?

by softball_rules5 » Wed Mar 17, 2010 3:57 am

Well, since we have discussed the 14's, 16's, and even the 10's I guess I'll be the one to go ahead and throw it out there - who are the 12U teams to watch for this coming season? Its almost like we are putting together one of those season preview magazines they do for college basketball. I think 12U is also very interesting because it is a big jump going from a pitcher dominated game to a more hitter dominated game (although you better still have a pitcher). Lets here some thoughts on who will be the teams to beat.

Blast 97 looked strong in the fall and just got stronger from what I understand. Bulldogs looked really good last time I seen them too.

Crown Point was pretty solid as 10's last year I saw them a couple of times. However at NSA nationals, they had hands down the coolest get up I've ever seen. Keep in mind this was right after the movie Dillinger had just come out, they wore white button up shirts, black ties, black fedoras, and had these gangster pinstripe shorts and sports coats, and had they bats made up like tommy guns. I'm sure most people don't know much about John Dillinger didn't get it, but I thought it was way cool!

CP Bulldogs 11U team last year was also pretty good so logic says they would be better this year.

And yes, very cool outfits during the "parade"...plus they could hit like a sonuvagun and pitching was top notch.

Dreams 12U: Well Coached, Very Fundamental, I would guess they will play alot of 14U
Indy Edge: This Team hits the Ball and will play several 14U Tourneys as well.
Diamond Chix: Solid all the way around.
Blast 97: Very solid Team beat alot of 14U teams Indoors.

The Twisters are from Tri-West area, I forgot about them they were a tough Team at 11U last year, will be very good if most girls returned. Lookout for #8 she is tough we played them several times last year and was impressed with her.

Not sure the Diamonds will be one of top teams unless they added some Players.

IMHO
1. Dreams 97
2. Diamond Chix
3. *Edge 97/ Blast 97

*If the Edge team hits like they can Consistantly they will be at the Top.

Of course this is all speculation and we will know soon who the Top Teams are...
