Coaches Clinics

As a HS football coach, we have a IFCA State clinic as well as several held on Saturdays around this time of year. Is there a listing of softball coaches clincs in Central Indiana that travel coaches can attend? Since everyone is gearing up for HS season, I don't know if this is the time that high schools would put on clinics. Please list any clincs you might know about, or who regularly puts on a good coaches clinic...even if they are already past. It would be nice to go and learn more about the game. Thanks in advance.

I've been to a number of these, they're great in my opinion, well worth the price of admission. They typically run during college off season however, as they use a lot of college coaches. Also the college coaches at these clinics are totally accessible where you can actually get one on one time with them.

I've been to three of those and would agree. It's good information and speakers basically stay and talk through the social hour and further if people have direct questions.

I would agree that those are good clinics with the coaches being very approachable. The best coaching clinic I've been to, though, is without a doubt the "Be the Best" coaches clinic held every year in Cherry Hills, NJ. It's put together by the Weeklys and no matter your thoughts on them as coaches, they bring in great coaches to speak and talk with. Their format with the "Ultimate Rap" is great and if you are able to go with a couple of other coaches, you can split the sessions and get tons of info. Most will let you video their sessions as well. This year's clinic was this past weekend, but I've gone 3 times and it's worth the cost of plane tickets, hotel for 3 nights, and a rental car. Couldn't make it this year unfortunately. The coaches are great about talking with you and what I thought was really great was that they were interested in what we the TB/HS coaches were teaching.

I got into a great discussion with Coach Drohan, Coach Hutch, and Coach Gasso two years ago about how they teach the backhand..we spent 20 minutes shooting ideas on drills/glove work to improve it.
