Great! Congrats on the berth. Did you get a chance to play Atlanta Vipers 99 in OK City? I know my daughters team tried to have your team come play in a "Super" friendly last May. Center Grove and CP Bulldogs 99 came to Ohio and represented Indiana well. Heard alot about your team and can't wait to see you guys play or play you guys soon. We tied with CP 99 in May but they beat us indoors in Feb. We beat CG in May but lost to them indoors in Feb and they recently beat us again about two weeks ago at Laser Nation. Had the chance to play them again at Laser Nation only to have a great game rained out. Is CG trying to go to Moline? We beat Gators in Shelbyville about a month ago then they beat us in bracket when it counted. We will see them at the Stingrays tournament in Columbus, OH in July. Hopefully we get to play them again. Heard alot about Team Energy and hope to see/play them soon. How about Indiana Xtreme? Are they going to Moline?

Likeitornot wrote:Have you played any Asa in Illinois or Michigan? Because Asa in those states is a whole different ball game at this age level. I find it amusing that you would brag about going to the NSA b world series then nationals. My dd's team qualified for moline months ago and NSA b world series has never been a blip on our radar as a team. Why? Because we picked a goal early in the year and stuck with it. . My opinion, if you haven't won a majority of the NSA tournaments you have played in and at least one Asa, you don't deserve to go.

I don't believe I was bragging about NSA B World Series. However, I personally don't have a problem playing NSA. I haven't had any bad experiences with NSA. I find the web site user friendly. I also think there is good competition in NSA A/B Tourneys. We have played great teams such as Lincoln Way Storm 99's (IL) and Edge Chaos 99's (IL), Gators (IN), CP 99's, and Harris Heat 99's (IN). Our girls are mostly 11yrs old with only 3 12's on our team. We are a good B team trying to get better and yes we have won some very challenging tournaments in NSA A/B. We have also done very well in our ASA tournaments too. We lost too Wasso Diamonds 99's by 1 run in a ASA tournament.

I think they should have been seeking out a berth like Team Energy or Sox 00 who have each traveled twice in the last month seeking a berth and played in 3 qualifiers so far.Why haven't they played in a national qualifier yet? I think it's bush league to assume you will get a bid off a fifth place finish in a state tournament. But maybe because I'm not a fan either my opinion is clouded.

We were in a ASA tournament with Team Energy when it was rained out in the start of our 2nd inning, so we didn't get to play them. Although I dont' doubt there a good team. I know some of the players on that team and I know they are good. We have played White Sox 3 times in ASA and NSA tournaments and have won all 3. However, I also think they have a good team. I also know several of there players too. I believe it could go either way with them. Unfortuately, there isn't very many ASA National qualifiers in the state of IN. Out of the 3 in Indiana we will be playing in one of them this up coming weekend. Which in my opinion will have the best competition out of all 3 qualifiers. The 2 ASA National qualifiers that were in Indiana had a difficult time finding teams. I was told this past weekends tournament was mixed with 10U and 12U teams. Which I believe only had 5 teams total. We can only wait and see what happens this weekend to determine what placement we will get. No body knows because anything can happen.

I think we have a good core group of girls! Bulldogs 00 has played half our tournaments in ASA Northern Qualifiers and the other with NSA A/B tournaments. Plus one USSSA tournament with 12 and 14U teams. Our girls played their hearts out this weekend in NSA B State and came back in the semi-finals with no time left on the clock, 2 outs, losing 4-0 against IN Shock 99's to scoring 11 runs to win the game. We lost to Harris Heat 99's in the Champioship game. Which as everyones knows Harris Heat 99's is a very good team. A team I would compare to our CP 99's. We our playing in the ASA State tournament this weekend in Crown Point along with many great teams mentioned on here. If we get our berth, we do plan on going to ASA Nationals in Moline IL. We already have our hotel rooms booked as well as some other teams. Going to ASA Nationals is going to be a challenging yet great experience for our girls. We are also playing in NSA B World Series here in NWI. Why not?? When it's in our own back yard. It will give our girls some competition before ASA Nationals. I myself want my daughter to see the competition at ASA Nationals. This will be her first experience there. I hope by watching some of these amazing teams she will learn and grow to become a better softball player.

You have played in Northern qualifiers! Are you kidding me????? Definitely not the same as the ASA/USA qualifiers lady! NSA B world series is no comparison to ASA/USA Nationals. You will not see much competition in your back yard that will compare to some of the teams at ASA/USA Nationals. Actually, you might be hurting yourselves more by playing some of the weaker teams in B that get their bids passed down to them late in the season and shouldn't even be playing in rec ball allstars, let alone the NSA B world series. I agree with Likeitornot, "I think they should have been seeking out a berth like Team Energy or Sox 00 who have each traveled twice in the last month seeking a berth and played in 3 qualifiers so far." Your team is just playing this because it's in your own backyard, not because you guys want to be a competitive ASA team! If you did, you would have played in ASA tournaments like Team Energy and the Sox throughout the year.

You shouldn't have to defend your team or the comments you made. I think you have proven this year that you guys can compete fairly well against quality Teams. The only problem I see with NSA is the small percentage of good teams to average teams.

Don't get all flustered Bulldogs00! We know that you have played some tough competition in the teams that you stated in one of your posts! The Bulldogs have competed with (and beat) some of the ASA teams that she stated. So why not play in the same ASA tournament as these teams?

Tell um like it is bulldogs fan,,It can be anyones game this week.
A bids a bid, dont matter even if 5 qualifiers are there, the 6th place-
team will still get there berth.

One thing for sure though, none of Indiana's 2000/2001 teams
would even finish in the top 80 at moline.

And i'm being nice about it, because there will be probly over 100 - 12u teams
that want top 10 spots and if you can get close to that, then your team is bad ass.

Why do teams that have a mixture of two ages put a birth year in their team name. This misleads people into thinking that all the players on that team were born in the same year. Please post reasons why a team would do this. Most of the better programs in Illinois will use the coach's initials in the team name if they have a mix. If I had one 99 on my team we would drop the 2000 from our team name. For example Team Energy has a mix and they don't use 2000 in their team name.
IMO it makes a big difference in a team if you have 3 or 4 kids from the older end of an age group, especially when they are the better players on your team.
Maybe I am looking into this to deeply, I just like to be upfront!!!
