I truly love how fast any topic degrades here.

Carry on...............

Oink, oink...

Now...that does it! First you disparage my amigos from the barrio and now you go out of your way to offend my Jewish friends?

we have a coach here in town who is a great coach, and a Dad. Loves the game and respects it. He is Not a daddy ball dad , and shows all of our girls the same way to play, as he would his own daughters. Not all daddy Coaches are the same, with a lot of knowledge of the game like this gentleman. Thank you :D

I never wanted to imply that all coaches were as the question stated. I had one daughter play for the same coach for 6 years. Even came to her wedding to dance with her. He was fair, taught her alot about the game. Just seems to me that there should be someway to clear out the junk that keeps coming into the game because they want to control! Think as parents we need to step up and name the fools. Not support them!

Supporter, then by all means name them! You began this thread by painting with an extremely broad brush and talking in generalities that just invite guys like "JOE" and the people who will endlessly argue with him to blow up whatever the point of your thread was.

What I dont understand after reading posts about how bad a coach is....Why dont you just leave the team? Get a backbone and address the issue with your coach.

This specific thread is one needing to be addressed openly and honestly. Personally, I am sick and tired of hearing about daddy-ball this and daddy-ball that! Do your due diligence before signing the roster regardless of the coach relation to the players.

Secondly, where would Indiana softball be without fathers who volunteer to coach? Think about some of the teams who have made noise on the national level from Indiana in the past decade. How many of these teams have a father on the coaching staff?

Now take a real close look at the players who have recently committed, or are already playing softball in college. How many of these players were coached by a father of one of their teammates?

Total agreement with you fool,if not for dads and moms spending thousands of hours and dollars
every year how many girls would be playing!! We would still be in the dark ages of thirty years ago. Five travel teams in the whole state of Indiana, maybe a hundred girls playing instead of thousands. I believe one of the best high school coaches of the last decade(opinion)the red
dragon of NP started out coaching his two daughters in daddy ball!!!! He didn't suddenly become a coaching guru, he used what he learned from endless hours of summer travel ball.
By the way my dd has no affiliation nor I with NP but giving credit where it's due.
