One correction, and thanks for the props, though I'm not sure we're in the same league with most of those teams. It's Indiana Xtreme, not Indy, we're not all southsiders!

South of Indy, isn't that in Kentucky???

I assure you the Ohio River is well south of 465!

Thinking out loud - while I dont know all the teams in the midwest, there are very few that are in that class. I might even go out on a limb and say that Indiana's top 5 16's are very competitive with any other midwest states 16's. Haven't the Magic Gold 16's already beat the sluggers a couple times (at Ball State and IU). I might be thinking of another.

SiddFinch - I've been waiting since last January to reply to these postings.

Louisville Lady Sluggers 16's finished 9th at ASA 16U Nationals. Looking at the final results it looks like highest finishes from Indiana were the Indy Dreamz at 25 and Shockwave at 33. I'm not trying to make a direct comparison or disrespect those quality programs - but I'm thinking SiddFinch may want to reconsider that Sluggers are "not in the same league". We knew we had a quality team from try-outs last fall. Exposure formats and purpose make it hard to judge.

Proud of our girls - They had a great run making it to final 8 in winners bracket before being defeated by 16U tournament winners OC Batbusters and then 4th place finisher GA Force.

:D :D Nope, still stand by it. You made a nice run. But to hold on to something for 7 months....ok dude. :D

SiddFinch

If you still stand by your prior comments you are a fool. Admit the mis-judgement and move on.

Guess we were also lucky to have played the Shockwave to a 2-2 tie in Elgin in late July.

Wow Sluggers are just on a one big lucky streak.....

Tough not to hold on to such a misrepresentation of our program for a little while. I wanted to point to facts dispute your beliefs. Guess not even facts will help.

 way to go Sluggers.....from what I saw, alot of the most dominant team in the midwest (according to Sidd.. ) looked like different teams this year from 43'..!

I chuckle at the constant bantering back an forth as to whose team is best. The Dreams, Shockwave and Sluggers are all elite organizations that on any given Sunday may beat the other.

Congratulations to the Sluggers on their 9th place finish at ASA Nationals. That is an accomplishment for which you should be proud.

Sbfan502, be careful when you state "facts" to prove your point. Facts are generally best when all are presented. You are correct when you stated you tied the Shockwave in Elgin. You failed to mention you got thumped by the 14u Dreams playing up that weekend. Kinda makes your best team argument a little weaker in that light. My point is, let your long standing chip on your shoulder go away and enjoy the ASA finish. Next week it starts all over again.
