Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

Looking In is obviously affiliated with the Dreams, or at least was at one time. No one is gonna tell this cat anything. He drank the cool aid way too many years ago. I think he is a little jealous of some of the success these young 10's are having from his area when he spent all his money travelling around years ago to find what he was told by his coaches was the best competition and he had to drain a 401k , if he has one, just to let his daughter play ball.
He drank the cool aid at the 10U level and wishes everyone else would do the same now. Bottom line is, these girls at the 10U level (in the loop) as you call it, are throwing 49-54 mph. I know because I have gunned them. It is amaizing. They also have change ups with a 10-15 mph drop.

It ain't travel ball unless you travel to 18 states in 1 year and blow 10 grand in travel expenses but hey, We Are The (Insert your favorite arrogant travel team name)

I'll be waiting for the wise cracks about me gunning 10 year olds or that my gun needs callibrated. That is expected for the shallow minds. I'll go one step further, there is also a nine year old throwing 49 consistently in games.

We radar during practices. Good tool to use to get the pitchers to work on mechanics to improve speed. They throw around 49-51 pretty consistently. Radar guns are a concrete way to measure speed and show the girls that mechanics do in fact make a difference in their speed. The girls react to and believe the numbers when they actually get to see the radar gun.

But, this means nothing if they don't hit their spots inside and out, up and down. Any team is going to catch up to a belt high fast ball at some point in time.

I'd give up a little speed for a pitcher that can hit her spots any time instead of a down the middle fast baller. It's a balance.

The Xtreme lost one game last weekend, and could've had the opportunity to make it through the loser's bracket on Sunday, however, the loser's bracket was cancelled due to the weather. All of the top 10u teams have lost a game here or there, none have been perfect. Again, we are talking about 9 and 10 year olds. The Xtreme have competed very well against the top 10u teams. I would like to think their hard work this season would make any organization proud.

The girls of the Xtreme would make any organization proud. FANTASTIC group of girls. So let's not go there.
Their coaches on the other hand , is what I am talking about, not 9 and 10 year old girls. I saw one game of theirs and some of the most fundmental parts of softball are ignored by the coaches. Maybe ignored isn't correct. I guess you have to have knowledge of something before you can ignore it. Perhaps "their ignorance" of the game is a better way to put it.

Chopper....After I saw your post I did some investigating and discovered that the CP Bulldogs 10U have 11 players. 1 player is injured and will be out for a short time; which puts them at 10 for that short time.

Don't really know the extent of the injury....i do agree, they do have some real thumpers in the lineup! That, along with the pitching, should enable them to have a great season!

While i have much respect for the dreams, never been part of them! Always loved how they have done things! Name another organization with as many playing in college as them! I'll give you the 2 that might, Waves and magic gold(Clay)! Oh, that would be the Shockwaves,, forgot your new! Not a fan of Kool-Aid(notice the correct spelling) I was a "coach" myself! My 401k is just fine, i "work" for fun now! I also have 2 daughters that traveled 18 states a year, guess what, the first one will graduate(college) in a week with a free education! The next one leaves in the fall, also free!! Not all from softball,grades count also! Who cares how hard they are throwing, they are 10! Your right, gunning a 10yr old is just crazy! I bet they also have 10 different pitches! I bet your DD is a pitcher, if you've got the gun! She might be 9!I follow this thread because it's fun to read what you guys are saying! I'm not trying to put you guys down, it's just really funny! You guys have no clue, your coming from 8U all-stars and think it's the same!!It's not!! There is a ton of out there if you go find it!Besides the 8 or so teams talked about on here from Central Indiana!
