What 10U teams are going to stand out this year?

by prdpop » Mon Oct 17, 2011 8:21 am

LMAO!!!! This is hilarious!! 10U bats being rolled, come on! Maybe jealous of some the more talented teams!!
I wonder why us "older parents" make fun of this post so much! LOL

Well, I guess we know what team that teamplayer's dd doesn't play for!

Seems I remember you bashing the Gators in a post last year! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

LMFAO

Gotta love it!

It very well may be me, but am I wrong in thinking a lot of 10U Indiana teams end up like this?

We had a very good weekend hitting and pitching! HC Inferno look like a good team w/ a ton of potential. Diamond Batz had some nice looking players as well. I am excited to get a chance to play/see all of the new teams this year. Sounds like some pretty solid groups out there!

Firstly, let me say that the post sugggesting that we (Gators 01) are or have "rolled bats" is ignorant! We put the time in coaching to try and make every girl we have the best player and best person they can be. Do I get caught up in the emotion of the game from time to time, yes. Human nature for an athlete. However, to accuse a great group of girls and parents of cheating because they have shown great improvement is ignorant and irresponsible! Many people out there like to bash our organization and our team. Teamplayer seems to really like to bash our team, as I remember your only posts last year were to bash us. I don't know much about bat rolling, but I am pretty sure that doing it would not suddenly make you a better hitter. I do know that a lot of hard work and working on the proper things will make you a better hitter and player.

Good luck to all teams this weekend and year!

refer to above when wondering why everyone dogs the 10U post every season

...and when wondering why 10u parents don't post much anymore, refer to the stupid comment above.

I for one, love reading the 10u posts and not for the same reason as some. It takes me back to the days where you just go play ball and that's it. I once thought the older parents were the lucky ones but as I get older I realize that I was actually the lucky one and didn't even know it.

Damn, I envy you guys.

I have a 10U and 16U player and I totally agree with you. 10U is where the real coaching and teaching is taking place. The older girls know the game by 16U and you are working on keeping their skills tuned up. 10U are just learning skills. Coaching 16U is a cake walk compared to 10U and these 10U coaches should be given all credit for stepping up and doing it and most of them are learning as they go if it is their first rodeo. We all had our first rodeos and were not born "smart" about the game. We had to learn as well. What I can say to the 10U coaches is work most on keeping your composure as I know 10's are stressfull at times. It gets easier and you will be around longer if you do stay composed and professional. I am in both worlds(younger and older girls) and they both are great! 10U is alot of fun for coaches because it is all tournament play and no showcase. Those older psrents that want to ridicule 10U need to go back and do it again if they really care other than mpoking fun at people volunteering their time.

Congrats to the Gators this weekend. The Monster Mash should be a fun tournament at all age groups as it is annually the biggest fall event in Central Indiana. The Edge looks forward to seeing some of the better teams in the area.

For the record, the Edge is not a made up of a group of broken teams. It is a great group of young ladies who love the game and work very hard at getting better. We had 4 girls returning from last years team, and filled the open spots with ladies from several other teams through the tryout process.

As for the Gators cheating, you all need to get over yourselves. The have a very talented team. They are the best around here right now, as their record proves. We all have our work cut out for us this winter to compete with them. Last time I checked, that was what 10U softball was all about, teaching the game and getting better. Not a lot of polished players at this age.

That is the joy of coaching them for me. To watch the improvements they make and the confidence grow as you teach them about softball, and life lessons through youth sports. Hard work pays off.

BBSR, all I ever said about bat rolling was a comment about why it was edited and why that user mentioned the games score of Gators and CG Crush (16 to 1). Which by the way, was not me I also mentioned that it was obvious you were one of those Gator parents simply because you gave all of the detailed info about the bat. No need to be hasty.

I will also say that I think the Gators Organization is great. There are and have been a lot of great teams that have played there over the years. I think wording comes across wrong sometimes and I apologize if it offended anyone. I don't think anyone is bat rolling at the 10 u level, but I stand by what I said (cheaters never win in the end). That saying goes for anything Once again a reply to another post. I feel as though the one making the jabs is not myself, but if it sounded that way.... I apologize.

TP,
A Rocketech can be identified from the stands very easily. Especially when you have seen the girl knock the crap out of the ball in a prior game, you kind of take notice. Also, no hard feelings here and I wish you and your DD the best this next year.

BBSR (Better Buy a Sweet Rocketech)

Teamplayer00, you obviously know me saying Deano's ball. I won't hide behind a name in anything I post. You need to be careful posting things with a Hmmmmm after since u brought up bat rolling and Gators together. I want to thank Indy edge 01 coach for the nice post. We can't wait to play edge 01 next weekend, competitive softball is all that everyone wants, without cheating. Lol.
