Also saw a posting for a team with a link to their website. The website is showing 10 players already on their 2010-2011 team. Not much opportunity there.

I do remember that one. It has been a while back. Also the fees negotiable for the right player type stuff....

Dreams Gold/Frankincense/Myrrh seeking the "chosen one" to finalize roster spot. Signing bonus negotiated at the time of acceptance.
Guaranteed play time as long as you can hit like Bustos, bring it like Jennie and run like Natasha and pay me off to play in front of the coaches kids. Private try-outs in front of entire team and several college coaches (just to make sure u aint gonna choke).
Lots of college looks (when we're driving to our tournaments). Limited daddy ball cuz I've dis-owned my kid for wanting to play another year of basketball :P

Seriously.... Congrats to all the Indiana teams for strong showings at Nationals

Ahhh, let em have some fun killer! Sitting in a gym for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon, is an added bonus to showing up at 3:00am at Sport Zone. Actually the portable mounds make a decent pillow, it's picking the litter rubber bits out of britches I don't like.

If you are interested, fill out the tryout form on the website. Visit http://www.TeamAkademaFastpitch.com - Tryout Information Tab, and fill out with appropriate information. Tryout feee of $3 per player

Its for field rental, we supply all the gatorade/ice, onsite medic/trainer, etc. It is suppose to be very hot all day. I could have anwered in an email just as easy. But I am sure you put it on here for another reason.....

Thanks,

hey.. one of the big teams in Illinois is charging $50.00 to TRYOUT...! another one over there is charging $20.00. These fees not only cover the cost of utilizing the facilities for the try-out, but it also generates money as a fund raiser..! I think we'll see more of this in the future.....

It's my understanding that it's customary to charge tryout fees for teams on the left coast.
