Noblesville 7 McCutcheon 0

Generally well-played game. Mavericks just couldn't score.

Did New Pal really beat Yorktown 32-2 or was that a misprint in my edition of The Star?

Edit: Opps, did not see someone already started a thread on this. Must not have been a misprint.

I'm a little surprised that no one has mentioned 3A #3 Boonville (I can't believe they have New Pal and Edgewood above them) knocking off CG and Carmel over the weekend. As I stated earlier, they are the best team I have personally seen this year. I will see Jennings County and Floyd Central in the next couple of weeks.

In Class A action, #8 Clinton Prairie beat #6 Central Catholic 10-1.

7-0 sounds pretty convincing, considering Noblesville hasnt given up a run all year and the pitcher has thrown 5 one hitters.

Every coach's nightmare: bases loaded and katie Harrison at the plate in the 1st inning. Pitch to her and take your medicine. Result....4-0 after pitching to her.

And a new batting lineup for the Mavericks last night.

Slapperdad - Boonville is good. They have good speed and hitters 1 through 9, for sure. However, they're not the best, unless they're playing on their home turf. CG and Carmel got a good taste of some "home cookin'." Would have loved to watch both games played at a neutral site, or at least with some neutral umps. My guess - different results in both games, leaving Boonville with 3 losses.

Well, that explains it all.

23Skidoo, I have not seen CG or Carmel, thus Boonville is the best team I have personally seen. FWIW I saw them on the road.
