What 10U teams are going to stand out this year?

by 10GatorCoach » Mon Apr 23, 2012 11:04 am

First off, I want to say congrats to Eric and the entire Indiana Gators 2002 on their constant improvement this year and their tournament championship over the weekend! Thank you to all of the players and parents who stuck with and believed in Eric and Eric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also wanted to give a big thank you to Triple Crown Xtreme for hosting us, St. Charles Comets (IL), and Oak Park Windmills (IL) on Sunday. We had a great time and it was very well ran and organized. We wish the weather could've been a bit warmer, but we do live in the Midwest and it sure could've been worse!!!!!!!! This was a much needed day of play for our team after a little more than a month off. Thanks Mike!!!!!!!!!!

We have played two of those teams Nick and they were both strong. What were the scores?

Not positive on scores as being a friendly we didn't keep a book, but of course girls tried to keep a tally in the dugout. LOL. Was obvious with our bats and some defensive play that we hadn't played for a while, but pitching looked pretty good, and bats were a little better in last game of day.

Gators 2001- 5
Oak Park Windmills- 1

Gators 2001- 7
TC Xtreme- 2

Gators 2001-15
St. Charles Comets-0

Not sure of other scores as we were playing during other games. I did see that St. Charles and Oak Park went into Int. Tiebreaker in their game.

Nick, Thanks for the comments and making the trip as we all appreciate it!!!

I wish our defense and bats would have showed up. We pride ourselves on the way we play defense, and the girls were asleep most of the day. We are going to give them a break as many were playing different positions, but I keep saying they are 10.

For anyone listening, Gators 01 is the best coached and most talented team we have played, period. There are many teams that are very good, and I believe any of these remaining teams that have been listed previously can beat anyone at any time, but the Gators are above this group.

I wish the Gators success in the future as it would be great to have a team from Indiana represent and show well at the ASA/USA National events. This team is deep enough to do just that.

Thanks again to everyone that came out in the cold Sunday. If anyone is interested in playing in the future, please feel free to let us know.

Thanks,

Mike Jeneske

1. Xtreme
2. Magic
3. Mafia Black
4. Diamond Batz
5. Bombers
6. Gator 2001
7. Inferno
8. HC Thunder
9. Diamond Terror
10. Ambush
Gators 01 were lookin’ good in the Fall, but doesn’t look like they’ve played much comp this winter

Twi3s,

Rethinking this? Edge won @ HSE and sounds like all that "weak competition" Gators 01 was playing didn't hurt them too bad. Guess the Edge belong in the top 10 and are not such weak competition after all! Inferno looked pretty good too!

prdpop-
:D I was not taking anything away from any team…I was just trying to get some fun posts to read and see who all I could get fired up! Obviously, It didn’t take much to get a good string of posts! I figured if I put one of the top teams lower in the list it would add fuel to previous comments; just having a little fun on here! Good luck to all teams this spring/summer! (obviously, someone must still be concerned over that post; don’t lose any sleep over it!) And thanks for the laugh! I didn’t realize people took this forum so seriously!
