Hold on there Backstop, I think you have your facts a little distorted here.

First of all I do not have pi@@ matches. I state the facts which you don't seem to comprehend.

A nice lady whose DD I coach referred me to this website because she said my name has been mentioned so when I registered and took a good look at the pitching rec thread I say that this guy Killerbee make a personal attack on my coaching ability. Now if somone has an opinion that is not in the business of coaching pitching or hitting that is their opinion and OK with me but when someone who is professional makes a personal attack against my coaching ability then I am not going to stand around and allow that. I believe they call it " defamation of character".

Now I have never been on this website of HeyBucket nor have a said anything about Bell's hitting until I saw who Killerbee was which was not hard to figure out with a picture of his DD next to his name.

It's obvious that you don't like me and are acting in a negative way to make it look like I am at fault here. I don't know who you are but I can sure find out if I want. You need to show more respect to an old coach like me who has been involved in fastpitch softball and helped this sport to become better today than what it was back over 20 years ago.

You know, I'm somewhat jaded, some say I have a somewhat sophisticated sense of humor, I'm really sarcastic, and I have to explain a lot of my jokes, but I laughed out loud when I saw this!

Interestingly enough, USN FFG 10 USS Duncan (Frigate 10) was decommissioned 17 December 1994 after nearly 15 years of service. It was sold to Turkey 4 May 1999 for cannibalization of spare parts. It was named after Admiral Donald B. Duncan, who was one of the principal architects of the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. It was assigned to Naval Reserves and stationed in Long Beach. I love history, I love learning about history, this has been great fun for me today! The carriers and subs get all the glory, and yes the battleships in yesteryear, but the frigates are the workhorses of the navy, and today have some of the coolest toys as well.

Miss a week on here you miss alot.



Being around Fastpitch the last 5 years it seems that everyone is always talking about how much more they know than the next guy. The fact is that no matter who or how good the instructor is the Girl still has to apply what she is learning. The result will be determined by how hard she is willing to work to get better not by who her instructor is. As far as who is the Best Instructor around I would say that whoever the girl relates to the best is the best instructor for her. Every instructor out there has had a star student that they can take credit for and alot of the time the girl is just a natural athlete and the instructor simply taught her the mechanics she needed. No matter how much you teach them they still have to do the work and make it happen. My dd will tell you her hitting instructor deserves alot of credit and he will tell you he has done nothing, and that she is doing the work.

I enjoy Heybucket and like the feedback,what I do not like is the guys who just want to argue about everything and call people out.

There are some Great instructors around our area some good and some bad but all deserve some appreciation for the willingness to sacrifice their time. I am Biased and think Bucketboy is the best fit for my DD but that may not be the case for everyone. However I am not going to bad mouth the other instructors. Spring is here see you all on the Field....

One of the questions that I have always wonderd about is what are the Three strike Zones? Someone asked me that and I didn't have an answer. Maybe you could shed some light?
