Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

I heard the games were good and close... Wasn't CP and Extreme 1-0? I think you guys might have a good old fashioned 3 team rivalry on your hands! Good Luck this season.. hopefully I will get to see you guys play.

Gators beat CP 5-3 in the last inning and Xtreme won 1-0. Xplosion looked pretty good as well. Some really good stuff out there this weekend. Now add Heat, Thunder, Sox and plenty of other teams not seen (or talked about) yet and Indiana can have some great tourneys this summer.

The New Lenox Lightning 10U is a good team from south suburbs of Chicago, they are one of the better teams in our area!! There program also has one of the best Gold Teams in the Chicago area, very good ASA program.

I realize this may be a misread on my part, but I've seen other references to "10U Gold," as well as others who make reference to "Gold" and attach it to their age groups. If Bake was referring to the New Lennox 18U Gold, forgive me, but I wouldn't consider them to be one of the better 18U Gold teams in the Chicago area considering the compeition - Beverly Bandits, et al. So, this makes me wonder if I really misread Bake's post. For the most part, I have ignored the references to anything but 18U Gold, believing these folks were nothing more than "wannabes." Is there really a recognized "Gold" division in any sanctioning body other than ASA 18U Gold? I realize I'm getting old by softball standards, but . . . have I missed something? Has the world of fast pitch softball passed me by? Someone throw me a help me - Killer, Gunshy, Bucket Boy, SlapperDad, Snoop, BenAround, Jag1 . . .

I completely understand the GOLD level of play, that is exactly what I was refering to "ASA 18U GOLD" I really didn't think I would have to put the 18U age division in the post, I thought that most of the people on this discussion board would understand there is only one level of GOLD play.

Also I did not say that the NL Lightning 18U ASA GOLD team was the BEST Gold team in the Chicago area, I said one of the best, and they are!!

Ouch! I forgot I was on a 10U thread. Silly me! I didn't realize that if you posted to a 10U thread that it would be read at a 10U comprehension level. Since I obviously fail to posess the requisite acumen to comprehend how this process works at the 10U level, I will shuffle back over to the senior section of the regional board where we have realistic discussions about fastpitch softball. Best of luck to you and your daughter/team, Bake. Look me up in 8 years and let me know how things are working out for you. One last thought before I "jump ship" - I'm proud of the fact that I still recognize the difference between "their" and "there."
