What 10U teams are going to stand out this year?

by Nsablue » Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:16 am

very childish comment tcx, i cant believe that you would think an umpire would show favortism. we are out there to call the game, do the best job possible. we dont socialize or talk to the coaches or the players. we umpire (FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME) maybe what we should start doing is questioning all the coaches and asking them why did you have her bunt n so on? or question all the parents. how about a thread called ( coaches and parents mistakes during a game) im sure we will get a thousand hits on that. COACHES PLEASE COACH YOUR PLAYERS AND TEACH THEM ALL YOU CAN SO THEY WILL IMPROVE. PARENTS, BE A PARENT, PRAISE YOUR CHILD, ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD, SET BACK AND ENJOY THE GAME, YOUR KIDS GROW UP FAST, THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY WILL BE IN COLLEGE, THEN MARRIED, THEN YOU WONT SEE THEM MUCH. ENJOY THEM WHILE THEY ARE STILL AT HOME WITH YOU.

StimpCity-Very well said!

TCX- several of you need to look in the mirror; you all are the prime example of how NOT to act. It is a shame that your coaches and parents (most of them) are ruining what could be a good organization; Sad that Ignorance and poor sportsmanship is what people think of when they hear the name TCXtreme, because you do have several talented young girls...I must add that I have watched the IN Magic on several occasions this winter and only witnessed a great group of girls, parents and coaches; actually I have only seen one other 10U team act inappropriately this winter while at the Blue Chip facility and they were nowhere close to TCX, so congrats on being the #1 worst display of a team.

and NSABLUE- AMEN!!

Just wanted to check in from sunny AZ and let everyone know that my daughers 10U the AZ Hotshots 2001 are planning on attending USA/ASA Nationals this summer in Bloomington. Any 10U teams that would like to set up a scrimmage I am sure our coaches would be interested. I have to admit I do love the passion that the parents have displayed on this thread, Gators Coach you seem like a class act hope to get to see your team this summer.

With that being said just wondering what the pitching is like up there in the midwest, our team was just in Las Vegas last weekend and we seen a few Cali 10U teams with girls throwing in the low 50's with the top team Gamers 01 having a girl hit 54-55 on the radar gun, I was amazed at big and how well these teams played. Just based on the history of ASA the Cali teams are forces to be reckoned with and I would say watch out for Gamers 01, Firecrackers 01, and OC Batbusters those three teams were flat out amazing for being 9-10yr old girls!

AZDad,

Thx for the kind words. I have heard great things about those 3-4 Cali teams and your AZ Hotshots program. We look forward to competing against the best in the country in Bloomington. We would definitely be interested in some friendlies in the days before Nats. I have also put some feelers out to a couple TX teams. Please have your Coach contact me as we get closer!

I love the passion by all of the parents and fans. Passion is what sometimes gets us adults in trouble, case in point getting ejected from a game or doing something unintelligent. Many of us coaching have played at some level in the past, and this passion carries over, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. I'll never disagree with the act of passionate people posting their thoughts or ideas on message boards. Parents and Fans from our team are very passionate and only responded with that same passion.

The only comment I would like to post is that umpires do not lose games for teams, coaches and players lose games. Yes sorry to say, we as coaches do play a part in the loss.

I believe everyone is way off base with the topic of this board "What 10U teams are going to stand out this year?" What we should be talking about is the improvement of the Diamond Batz team from January. This just did not happen overnight and the coaches should be acknowledged for their effort. Great Job Guys!! We should be talking about the great play of a short handed Bombers team or a Windmill team that will be better once they are outside. The play of the Gators and Edge in Indy or what team is improving. In fact we should not be on the message boards at all as it is 80 degrees and are practicing outside. Practicing outside in 80 degree weather on March 16th, who would believe.

10U will be competative throughout the year. Please keep in mind some teams have not been playing yet or are not fully active yet. The White Sox are a good example here and should be on this list. We will have a better idea of how this list will play out by mid-May.

Good Luck to all and try to get outside and enjoy this record breaking weather!

Must have been hard to play indoors this weekend with the perfect outdoor temps. I would bet mafia went undefeated in that tourney.
