No actually I wasn't as that would be a job several good coaches would apply for if and when he does retire, but as with all rumors in the softball world by the time they get funneled they are diffierent than what the truth really is.

Joe Pa still is in the 3rd base coaches box for some time it sounds like.

No surprises so far in that sectional. HSE just got by Fishers, and Noblesville unloaded the bench against them last night. Carmel vs Noblesville should be a good matchup.
Looks like PH unloaded the woodshed on Anderson Highland.

Any upsets yet anywhere?

I seen Cascade closed the door on South Putnam, 3-0. Big surprise to me.

Did Brooke Boetjer pitch? South Putnum run ruled them eariler in the year. How'd Cascade turn things around this time?

Yes - looks like Brooke pitched and Taylor Hueston only allowed 3 hits for Cascade.

First I was suprised when I read Cascade beat South Putnam. Then I was shocked when I read Brooke Boetjer pitched and lost. When we played South Putnam, Brooke dominated the game, we had maybe six total hits. The second time we played South Putnam, their other pitcher was on the mound and we were within 3 outs of winning the game(ended up giving up 3 runs top of 7 to lose). I was really impressed with Brooke and noted it in an earlier post. I am still somewhat stunned over this upset. Makes this sectional wide open with remaining teams pretty equal. Good luck to all.

Just a quick look at the stat sheet would indicate that they couldnt touch Taylor for Cascade. And the hits that Brooke did give up were either timely, or there were errors involved at critical times.

The PH - Highland game just goes to show you that even though PH is thin on pitching they can still play. Highland is a very good team. They just do not have the depth like PH. PH cane bring many quality players off of the bench and they contribute. Highland needs its key players to play well or they run into problems. Then there is the coaching match up. Any one care to guess who wins that one!

Carmel beat Noblesville 5-1. Carmel hit very well in this game. Osborne limited them to 3 hits.
