Best of luck Pink 12U
Hope you're not doomed from the start
This crop of 10U's moving up will only play for a Gold 12U team
Not pink, black, silver, polka-dot, GOLD

Enjoy the fall
Hello, 911? It's Quagmire. Yeah, it's caught in the window this time.

Admittedly this newbie is still adjusting.......with no non verbal clues available or the ability to hear someones tone of voice it does take a little more effort to get some jokes through this avenue of communication.

But I will say...at lest for this newbie.......it is enjoyable observing such an interesting group of individuals as those who post here.

Fair enough Joy, let me break it down for you:
My first post

I am basically poking Hoosier_daddy for making such a bold statement in AUGUST of 2011 about who will be what in JULY of 2012. He made this post about a week prior to the OP in this thread.

My second post

harsh or bitter derision or irony.

a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark: a review full of sarcasms.

I'm sorry, but I refuse to pay for the sarcasm font. The point I was trying to make is, teams haven't even been formed yet, and we already have a "team to beat".

Relax, you're in 12U now, as you move along, you'll find that life isn't as serious as 10U Softball. Get your team together, go play, go have some fun, but whatever you do, don't forget the cooler, whether you choose to fill it with adult beverages or Kool-Aide, is completely up to you.

I am trying to explain there was some sarcasm and maybe just a bit of irony in my first post. Teams HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN FORMED YET, I stated that, that means I have at least some idea that the eteamz ad board is still two pages deep with ads that are two hours old. Maybe some kind of idea that a lot of teams are just starting to have tryouts, or starting their second round of tryouts. I try ounce again to point out, without being obvious, that I am maybe taking a little bit of a poke at Hoosier_daddy.

The 10U thread, and from what I understand of 10U softball in general this past season was simply over the top. You're kids are growing older, a little more mature, perhaps the 10U parents should take a hint from them. 10U Softball in Indiana is not the axis the world spins on. Lighten up have some fun with it, enjoy the ride with your DD. My time with mine is winding down, I'm offering a little advice here as someone who's been there done that. Lastly I'm saying, this is 12U Softball, you can either stock the cooler with beer, and go have some fun, hopefully your DD will as well, she'll get better, enjoy the experience, and come back again next year. Or you can drink the Kool-Aid, travel all over the country spend every waking moment worrying about Softball, and two years from now she won't even be playing. Pace yourself, it's a long trip. No one knows your DD better than you do, understand what she needs in her development both as a Softball player and a person. She's not going to sign her LOI her first year of 12U ball. See the big picture.

I'm sorry :geek:

I'm not apologizing, I mean I'm sorry you don't get it, because I thought I had explained myself pretty good, apparently not. I'll tell you what, you bookmark this thread, if you're DD is still going in 5 years, you come back and revisit this thread, it'll all make perfect sense to you then.

How did your tryouts go? Were you able to fill your roster?
