Joe, a softball family consists of more than just the team. My daughter may not play with that immeadiate family any more but they are still a part of our family. Just because you do not play with some one any more does not mean they stop being a part of a families life. The girl in reference to the email is a very good friend of my daughters. They continue to talk and hang out when possible. She is a great girl and definitly did not deserve the way she was treated. There is more to the story than what is in the email left for close friends and family. Not to mention a certain coach has made many promises and never followed through. When your daughter leaves his team for any reason it is considered and insult instead of doing what is best for the girl. When seen by said coach the girl is a non person. He does not say hi in return, and she is scowled at at tounaments his team is in. For some one who is in it for the girls, he sure does not act like it. I will say this though. Two coaches, which were coaches for 16u last year are great. I would have no problem with my daughter being mentored by them. They continue to talk to and cheer my daughter on. They congratulate her on her accomplishments. The other coach needs to take a page out of their book and do what is best for the girls not himself.

Points all well taken. But what purpose does it serve to air their dirty laundry on HB? The "family" in this case is the team and/or organization...NOT the 5000+ of us that post on HB.

You might also ask what purpose it serves for a coach to be so vindictive and to use his status to attempt to blackball previous players and sometimes their new teams amongst other Indiana travel organizations and college coaches. I've heard the stories. Trust me, this stuff is for real. I might agree with you if this was an isolated incident, but there is a long history here and a lot of harm has been done to some very good kids. It might just be a very worthy purpose to expose this kind of behavior in order to prevent other kids and their families from being treated this way in the future.

Simple, It gives a wide range of prospective players and parents some insight into that particular coaches poor behavior, that they might not have known about without reading it here. LOL F U Joe : )

Sometimes things have a way of catching up with us. Daniel seems to have a reputation of promoting the behavior of the facility he is associated with as well as his own behavior of falsely representing caring about the kids. His caring is simple making money nothing more or less. Check out his credentials and you may find some issues or maybe a lot of false info.

Have you ever looked on the website and checked out the college coaches that are attending these events. The last tournament had very few coaches and the teams left early due to false advertising. We want our kids to get scholarships so bad we forget to face the reality that we need to use the money we spend in playing travel to all of these types of events to better use savings accounts for our children's education. We need to quit believing the false information and take a good look at the reality of people simply making a living off of us.

Our daughter plays NSA and we have been very happy with the college coaches that have approached her and us without spending money traveling across America to obtain her the big division one scholarship that she will never see. She is happy going to play the game she loves at a small D2 college with her education paid for.

We believe this program truly cares about the girls and believes God and family is number 1.
