Hello Marc of the Gators,
Someone told me not to mention my name when I came on this board so I didn't. I can give you some clues and then you should figure it out.
I have been coaching pitching in Central Indiana since 1989. I made my official start in the fall of 89 at the fields of FT league. At the time there were NO windmill pitchers in the leagues or High Schools. Since there were no windill pitchers there were no travel teams.
In 1994 I joined the first facility, Softball LTD located at the County Fairgrounds. I left in 98 to join CE along with Joe K. After coaching there for 7 years I know coach at several different locations to cover all the girls from North to South.
Since that time I have helped over 125 girls to become college pitchers many getting scholarships. I am proud to say that I helped get fastpitch softball in Central Indiana a good start so that we are now just as competitive as any team in the country.
The Gators team started in 1994 and I coached the pitchers on that team. The came in second in a ASA Regional that year which qualified them for the ASA Nationals. The Gators team eventually wound up in the hands of Joe back in 99-2000 when he was at CE. Joe was gracious enough to ask me to coach hit pitching and I was very happy to do so.
In the last several years I figured that I could help the pitchers learn more about batter weaknesses if I studied up more on hitting and that would make me a better pitching coach.
Now that I know a little about hitting I found that I could teach it to a certain degree and so am helping out some of the girls that really need my help. I don't have the experience teaching hitting as the major hitting coaches but I am getting better all the time and that's what really counts.
As for you ntheknow2 it sounds to me like you don't really understand how the game of fastpitch softball really works. If you did you would not be making stupid comments.

Frigate, where did I state that I knew ANYTHING about Softball?
BTW, I read fine, I'm only 44, yet read at a 47 year old level. You are right about one thing though, it really doesn't matter to me.

I know it doesn't matter to you but I have been involved in playing and teaching fastpitch for over 50 years now. I have networked with some of the best experts in this game that have taught me a lot including one of the greatest pitchers of all time, the late Fireball Warren who was at one time clocked at 90 mph. All these guy I know are in the National Hall of Fame and I would think they know more about the game than you do.
Pot...meet Kettle. I don't know you from Adam (but since we don't know your real name I assume I don't), but in your short life here you have had pi$$ing matches with a couple of people (killerbee specifically) and dropped more names than I can count. No one claims to know everything about this game...I am sure everyone has something to learn (I know I have a lot to learn), but as far as I can tell, you sir are the guy tooting his own horn about your knowledge and who you know. For what it's worth, I have been in this game going on my 5th year...since my 11 yr old DD got started. I lean on EVERYONE for knowledge and this board does help.
Frigate10...it is a case of semantics. You see, HEYBUCKET is a BOARD. "hitting techniques" is a THREAD. So when you say you are not going to be on this BOARD any more, the general meaning of that is that you will not be on HEYBUCKET any longer. I suppose you should have said that you were done with this THREAD. But I haven't networked with anyone on this so I probably don't know what I am talking about.

talk about copy paste, Beekiller, it seems to me for whatever it's worth to you that you have read video tapes, DVD', youtube, etc. and use that information to teach your hitting techniques. Anybody can do what you do to teach their kids hitting. They really don't need your hitting instruction at all. It's just a matter of convenience them so they go to you.
I looked for your bio for what you have achieved in hitting but I don't see any. It would be nice to see what you have done over the years and what an accomplished player you must have been. As good as you say you are you surely must have had over a .500 batting ave when you played. I am wondering if you in the Hall of Fame and keeping it a secret?
To me it's so nice to have
parents that really appreciates what I have done to help their DD get a scholarship and it makes me feel useful that I can actually do something in retirement that is really worthwhile.
I am 70 now and hopefully I will have a few years left in me to be able to help these girls achieve their dreams. Each day that I am able to coach now I count my blessings and thank the Lord that I am still able to do it.

Hold on there Backstop, I think you have your facts a little distorted here.
First of all I do not have pi@@ matches. I state the facts which you don't seem to comprehend.
A nice lady whose DD I coach referred me to this website because she said my name has been mentioned so when I registered and took a good look at the pitching rec thread I say that this guy Killerbee make a personal attack on my coaching ability. Now if somone has an opinion that is not in the business of coaching pitching or hitting that is their opinion and OK with me but when someone who is professional makes a personal attack against my coaching ability then I am not going to stand around and allow that. I believe they call it " defamation of character".
Now I have never been on this website of HeyBucket nor have a said anything about Bell's hitting until I saw who Killerbee was which was not hard to figure out with a picture of his DD next to his name.
It's obvious that you don't like me and are acting in a negative way to make it look like I am at fault here. I don't know who you are but I can sure find out if I want. You need to show more respect to an old coach like me who has been involved in fastpitch softball and helped this sport to become better today than what it was back over 20 years ago.

Mr. Feld, I am a nobody in the world of softball. Just a guy that has a kid who plays, I found I really enjoyed the game, and wanted to learn as much as I can about it. I didn't start off coaching, but eventually was asked to help out and I enjoy it very much. I want to see every single girl on our team succeed...and you currently work with one of them. Personally, I don't care who our pitchers go to..whatever fits best for each particular girl that is fine with me. Same with hitting.
I have no interest in casting you in a negative light as I think you have done that well enough on your own. I had to chuckle at the "defamation of character" comment. From what I know, you are not shy about voicing your opinions on other pitchers and /or their pitching coaches.
I honestly don't have to show you anything. I believe you have done a great job championing this sport and I will give you your due when it comes to knowledge of the game on years of service. There might not be another person who has devoted as much to this game for such a period of time. However, that doesn't mean that others aren't making their contributions too.
Here is the thing about interent forums...they usually do a pretty good job of policing themselves. If someone steps out of line, the members will generally make it known. Coming out of the gate telling everyone about your resume won't do you any favors.
