First Tournament

OK, I don't do this often, but let me break it down for you.
Twosdad wrote:Well I give up I thought this would be a good Place to keep up on 12u games and tourney results but it's just a idiotic pissing match lead by the biggest idiot on heybucket bar none.

Could you be more specific, who's the biggest idiot bar none? I tend to just pay attention to the post that I deem worthy of commentary.

Are you really an adult or a Jr high kid because you need to grow up I'm going to turn off my notification on this thread so I don't get an email everytime some one Thinks of something stupid to say.

OK, I'm going to ass-u-me this was pointed at me. First of all a little punctuation never hurt anyone, I'm out of breath just reading that. I am an adult, 46 year old MWM. Though I will admit my wife routinely refers to me as her oldest kid. Grow up....nah, at this stage of my life if it isn't fun, screw it, I ain't doing it. As far as your auto reply, do what you need to do. I've never used it myself, too many holier than thou types who take this crap way too serious.

Ok the beer thing was funny for a minute but that's about it I will be looking for this idiot bar none at a tourney I would like to see if he looks as stupid as he acts on here. And see if he us as cocky face to face I doubt it most people who talk this much shit online are makng up for lack of any power in real life or a small "unit .

Come on dude, the beer thing was hilarious, and you know it. I'm not hard to find, I'm at most of the showcases around the Midwest. Just ask for Slapperdad, someone will likely know where I am. Or ask for Brian Personett, that's my real name, and no it was no secret, most people on here know who I am. It's not like some big state secret or anything. I assure you, I'm pretty much the same face to face that I am on here. Once again ask around. And to clear up one matter, I'm not talking "shit" as you stated. I feel like I have an obligation, when people anonymously post stupid stuff on internet forums, to call them on it.

I will keep an eye on the 12s so when some body puts a spanking on the raiders I can hear all the excuses.

See my above response, I could not possibly care less about Raiders 12's. They're 12 year old girls, why do you want someone to spank them?

Have fun talking shit loser even if your daughters team is that good it's got nothing to do with you! you should just be proud that she could play for a team that good and enjoy the season there is always someone better.

I never said anything about my daughter's team or how good they were or weren't. In case you haven't figured it out yet, Gnaw Bone is a little berg you pass on the way to somewhere else. They don't have an all-star team. They don't even have a stop light that I'm aware of. As far as my daughter, this has nothing to do with her, why do you keep dragging other people into the conversation? There's always someone better.....huh.....I guess I never made the connection.

I'm just glad my daughter is healthy enough to play there are lots of kids who never even get a chance.

Agreed, my high school team will be doing a fundraiser for Camp Riley for their community service work this spring. It's a cause that's near and dear to my heart since I have a family member who was a camper there. Was being the past tense, I'll spare you the gory details, and leave you to figure it out on your own. Personally and I've only talked about this with one other person in my life, I think my nephews challenges and death affected my DD immensely. I think he's one of the factors that drives her. She knows she has god given abilities that other people don't have and I think having a cousin with severe disabilities really drove that point home with her. Can we count on you for a donation? 100% of the money we raise goes directly to Camp Riley Scholarships for kids with severe handicaps. This camp is very expensive, our goal is to raise enough to send two campers this year, we'll build on it from there.

I like a little trash talking just to make things interesting but this is way beyond mature.

You like trash talk, but not mine because it's beyond mature?? What is beyond mature, uber mature?

I know this is a case of a couple bad apples destroying the whole bunch but I hope the the people on here that have some sense can get things back on track the best way would be just to ignore the stupid coments maybe they will go away if they're not getting attention.

OK, I've been called worse than a bad apple, so I guess I can live with that. You really need to understand what I'm trying to tell you though. The point being, it's not necessarily about "who's the best". I'm assuming your DD is in 12U, at that age it's about teaching them fundamentals and making it fun. As far as I know, no college coaches are showing up at 12U nationals. No deals are done, no educations are paid for. Give them a chance to gain a respect and love for the game. Give them a chance to have something in common with you, her dad, something you both can enjoy, be passionate about, and most of all something that allows you to spend time with her. You might be surprised to know that I get a lot of hugs and handshakes from our opponents. Friendships built over the years, many times over beers in the parking lots. A lot of time spent watching other Indiana kid playing, when I didn't have a dog in the fight, rooting for those kids to be successful too, even against my DD's team. I'm ecstatic for these kids I've watched grow up when they commit. The biggest difference between me and you is I want them all to be successful, I want to see them realize their dream, I'm not waiting for them lose, so I can read all their excuses. I hope your kid is still playing when she's 14....16....18, I hope you get the opportunity to experience what I've got to experience just spending time with my kid doing something we're both passionate about.

slapperdad, great response...but I think Twosdad was referring to a different poster.
Hint-poster is having trouble with the whole "spacebar between sentences" concept, but has defininitely found the "smilies".
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, God I miss 12's...
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

hey slapper the beer comment was about you and i did say it was funny the rest wasnt about you at all.

bigest loser bar none = biggest fan bar none and i think that anyone who reads his post would probably agree he is just looking for a fight but that said i am going to try take the high road and not respond to people who are on here for the wrong reasons. i totally agree with everthing you said in your last paragraph.

i imagine most of us are more alike than different we all probably spend more time with and more money on our daughters than most. Most of my friends think im nuts while their kids play video games all weekend. actually my daughter is 10u we just have lots of friends on 12u and 14u teams and im just a softball fan in general everybody can save the 10u jokes i for one would be ok if she stayed ten forever.

like i said i dont mind a little banter about who is better but i believe bar none has taken it to far and im just sorry i let myself get sucked into it i apoligize to dailyjoy who started this thread with a inocent question and it has turned into this so i hope i can make peace with everyone well except bar none im ignoring him from now on.

slapper softball is a small world maybe we will run into each other one day. but untill then im going to do my best to keep things positive on here mainly interested in scores and news i have friends whos kids play 12u extreme 12 u chaos 12u gators and 14u shockwave just to name a few. once again argueing with people isnt why im here and i am just contributing to the problem by responding to those people so keep the beer jokes coming and i will try to keep it positive but the punctuation probably wont get better im a two finger typer on an I phone and definately not an english major

your name sounds familiar not sure why like i said softball is a small world

Twosdad thank you for your apology.

I find the best course of action when it comes to people intentionally disrupting a thread is to ignore them.
