Coming in January 2011 Lady Lasers Red 98 will be expanding our roster by 1 or 2 quality athletes. We are looking for a player aspiring to compete at a national level. Team based out of Columbus, OH, but has players from SW, central, and NW OH as well as PA. We are looking for the best athletes available regardless of where you live.

If you wish to compete with the best, against the best, and want to be seen, come take a look at what the Lady Lasers Red have to offer.

This opportunity doesn?t come without a price and that is the requirement of your time and dedication to be the best player you can be. You will be challenged to bring your best each and every weekend, and to improve as the season progresses.

We have an aggressive schedule of friendlies and tournaments planned for 2011. These include but are not limited to the following:

California Classic, Huntington Beach, CA March 2011
Beat the Heat, Hemet, CA April 2011
ASA Hall of Fame tournament, Oklahoma City, OK June 2011
Laser Nation Invitational, Columbus, OH June 2011
Stingrays Invitational, Columbus, OH July 2011
ASA/USA Nationals, Montgomery, AL August 2011
Friendlies against top competition, OH April ? July 2011

Some history on the team?

Last year as an 11U team, record was 55-11-3. Tied for 49th place out of 101 teams at USA/ASA 12U Nationals. Were Tournament champions 5 times and second place 4 times.

As a 10U team record was 73-7 and finished 7th place in USA/ASA 10U nationals. Were tournament champions 11 times and had 2 second place finishes.

Jan 2011, so i've got a month to sell the house,cash in my 401k and sell my other kid(might get a tank of gas:)) so i can take my 12U to cali twice in 2 months!!!! I would hope for better than 49th out of 100 for that kind of money!

Not trying to defend the Lasers - but they'll finish much higher than 49th this year. Lasers, a few Cali teams, a few Tx teams and throw in a few Southeast teams (Georgia Impact for 1) and that is who will be playing on the final day in Montgomery, AL.

If a player is asked to join, you obviously can see this is a lifestyle that you're joining and there won't be time or money for too many other activites.

I ld gladly take a 49 out f 101 as an 11u at ASA Nat's....Good luck with your team! The catcher for the 14u lazers was a BEAST last year!! Very impressed with her ...and the rest of the 14u team I watched in Center Grove alast year..

How big is a 49th place trophy? I'm with "looking in" on this one!

Seriously, glad to see teams from Ohio finally venturing out and putting their name on the national circuit. Being from Ohio, it has always been about high school ball and top talent never getting seen at the older age groups.
Kudos to the Lasers in search of something bigger!!

Making fun of an 11u team finishing 49th out of 100 plus at ASA Nationals as a young team is crazy. I think they drew a strong Cali team early in bracket play too. This is a huge commitment and I'm sure the families and coaches know what they are wanting to achieve and the sacrafices in doing it. Good Luck Lady Lasers Red!

Thanks for the comments. To be the best we have to play the best. We lost two games at ASA natioinals last year, one the 4th place team and one to the 5th place team. Both were very strong and we had not seen competition like that except for a couple games all year. Our girls are working hard, parents are on board so here we come, I will tell you in August if this was worth it.

If you would like to come to Ohio to play the best we have to offer please let me know, we are not shy of competition.
