Really???

We're talking HS Ball!! The person (team) in question holds runners up to get his dd's RBI total up! Plus, toes the line in what is legal between coaching HS Ball and travel!! Better play on his travel team or sit the bench in HS!!! If you make the team! Runing up the score is nothing out of the ordinary for him(THEM) Still won't win it all again!

I would never try to justify the 32-2 score but let be serious fellas. There is no illegalities in his travel/hs coaching. Just so happens there are enough girls from his travel program to fill out the roster. Remember his stud Dreams catcher last year that didn't come out this year? How about his Magic Gold SS? Lots of sour grapes out there. Won't win it all again? No kidding? Only one team will idiot. Isn't 3 titles is 6 years still pretty good?

Maybe you private schools need to do some better recruiting. You all join together to attend some podunk school and still can't pull it off. Maybe you will this year, if you do great, but you know that this is your last chance since your pitcher is graduating. I assume some of the wealthy dads will find a pitcher and pay her way.

Starfire, I sense some retained hostility here! While I am not a fan of the private (open roster) schools playing single A, I don't believe they are the one's who scored 32 runs on an obviously outmatched opponent. Winning 3 titles in 6 years is a fantastic accomplishment, but that means they should know what they have and know the teams on their schedule well. Either show some class against the weak opponents or get the stat-makers off their schedule. When you win at the rate they are winning, they will always be a large target for criticism, sour grapes and sometimes baseless allegations, but they deserve everything they get for scheduling AND drilling teams not loaded with travel players like their own. Sometimes being a "winner" has little to do with your record, and a team can win lots of games and still be seen as a loser.

Once again, no justifying 32 runs, should know better I agree. The opponent is in their conference, any suggestions how to exclude them from the schedule?

It won't be to long before they have to move up to 4A, like Pendleton. That will change some things. By then though, the 1st base coach will be the Head coach. More than likely next year! They have had a good run, but the well is starting to run dry!

Two sides to every coin and yes New Pal beat Lutheran friday night 6 to 3. No excuses but you were there as I was and 4 or 5 errors will get you beat by a good team every day. Both teams will be better from the game especially us IMHO and we would play New Pal once a week till the end of the season if we could win or lose instead of some of the teams we have on our schedule and in our conference.

You know who I am, but we don't know who you are and that is fine if you don't want to reveal your identiy, but with regards to putting up 32 runs let me tell you how Lutheran does it against weaker opponents that are in our conference. You get the lead 10 or 12 to zip then you allow the kid to get their at bat and when they get a hit then they leave base early on the first pitch to the following batter. Doesn't take stats from them as far as hitting numbers and if a kid goes yard then so be it. If the opposing coach has an issue with you leaving early as was the case in a game we had against Park Tudor a few years ago then you have every kid bunt. Score it as a sacrifice so it doesn't hurt their hitting numbers and be done with it. I tend to believe the earlier comment about trying to set records etc, but will admit I am wrong if that is not the case. Dont you have Triton on your schedule coming up. We had them on the first day of the season. Let your bench players get a start, try leaving base early. Have a final score of 12 to 0 as it is the right thing to do instead of putting up 50 as you could considering the way you are swinging the bats.

It cracks me up when people say things like you will go recruit a pitcher and for the last 4 years I have heard comments about money we have received etc.......I have said on this board many times that I will be more than happy to show anyone the cancelled checks for the $25,000 plus dollars we have paid for our daughter to attend a private christian school and get a quality education. We pay the same as everyone else period.

Good luck the rest of the season and hopefully both teams will be at Ben Davis the second Saturday in June............................................
