Central Florida gets a qualifier

The ESPN Wide World of Sports will host a national qualifier, 16u & 18u age divisions, at WDW on June 11 thru the 13th. This is a qualifier for the ESPN/ESPN RISE National Softball Championships. It is also an attempt by ESPN's to overtake ASA Softball as the leader in girls fastpitch softball. Fantastic opportunity for the young ladies of Central and all of Florida to qualify and play against the West Coast's finest in the championship tournament. It will be interesting to see how this thing goes it's first year. Could bring about a monumental shift in the softball world. No more Midland Texas in August?
