If you prefer the Arizona style of slapping, sprinting through the box, Tony Rico is probably a good fit.

If you prefer a more deliberate style, slower through the box, go with Doug Myers or Mike Stith.

Both styles have their advantages.

All the above mentioned are good. I take my DD to Doug Meyers. He and Tony Rico both do well with the mental side, which in my opinion is more valuable for my DD than just foot work and bat angles. Good Luck!!

Glad to see Doug Myers name mentioned a lot, my DD has been going to him for a little while and really likes him. I did hear he was one of the best and has shown to us why he is talked about so much.

My daughter has been to several batting coaches including some of the one's mentioned above. IMOH most slapping coaches are very good at teaching you the basics but not much beyond that. My daughter learned the most from one of her assistant coaches who didn't give private lessons but was a slapper in college. So I would suggest that once you've learned the basics from any of the above top notch instructors (which I'd also include Dave Lastrapes in south OC), then look for a female who was a slapper at the college level.
