Always the brides maid and never the bride-14U AA'sToys4Tots

by Clamato » Mon Dec 05, 2011 6:12 pm

Team Victory continues to be the greatest 98 team to never win tournaments! I was betting good money that they would end the 12U curse of the championship failures this weekend, BUT NO! Just when I thought Stache had this team ready to break the two year string of no championships in any tournament, they continue the Victory 12U tradition of coming up short. I know, I know! Campbell only plays for national championships and I've heard how much they despise playing in the low level TCS, USSSA, and AFA tournaments. But maybe thats just what this team needs to get the monkey off the back. I think even my good buddy, glasshalfempty (R.I.P. from the bucket) would agree a boost of championship flavor is needed to get back the 10U swagger mighty team flawless once owned.

Come on glass, talk with your team and convince them to enter an all level tournament just to get the championship ball rolling. The rumor on the streets is that you are now known as the official team underachieve that rents the stc. You don't want to be bitten by your own bug.

Victory was done in by coach "I could'nt even beat the 99 team underachieve @ stc" at states. Then shut out and out coached by "Mr. Chino Hills all star rec ball coach" at nationals. Now was put out of it's 2011 fall ball misery by "PQ's finest and San Diego's coach of the fall ball season" at the AA's toys for tots tournament. I even heard certain parents were doing the rain dance when things started looking bad in the championship. At this point they would settle for co-champions. Hell, last year they were one of the last teams on the field when the rain came down. That should count for something. Right?

Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for you guys to come through sometime in 2012 or 2013. YOU CAN DO IT! It's your time, I can feel it. I just know it must suck to always be the brides maid and never the bride ;)

Victory is a very good team and hopefully every girls gets a full ride..... But on the other hand why is it so hard for them to win a tournament?

So did your kid get cut from Victory, or just not get picked up at a tryout?

Sounds like BB or FC didn't want her either! :o

Clamato,

Sounds like your team lost early at the Brenda Marsh and IE Tourney. :D Sounds like you have to start worrying about your team even getting to the alter these days.

Oh that's right...Because winning the Winter tournaments is what it's all about...Not about gaining experience and getting great training for the Spring/Summer season...You're right! Making sure to please the Mom's and Dad's with November tournament wins so that they can brag to their friends...Feed the crazies, feed the crazies, feed the crazies...

Preparing for college = winning at a higher level than the tournaments where you parents worry about trophies to stoke your egos.

Really Clamato? Really? Starting a thread to talk sh*t about a group of 11 year olds? Feel self-satisfied now? Nicely done. Be sure to post when your kid reaches 8th grade and verbals to a top 5 college program with a full ride.
