The Lakewood Ladies merge with the Firecrackers

by ball96&93 » Mon Aug 25, 2008 3:55 pm

I have also heard rumors of George Arajo's Lakewood Ladies 93's(14u '07 national champs)and the 94's(14u '08 national champs)merging. This team would really be impressive at 16's.

If the merger between the Firecrackers and the Lakewood Ladies is real , the firecrackers are looking good for the next few years.Tony Rico already has some good young talent on his 18G team, :?: I guesse we will see what happens soon enough. :?:

Congratulations to the Lakewood Ladies for their Championship this year it was well deserved.

kudos...he did merge those two sets (ll and aa's) of talents in 2007 and go all the way with them...ive seen a few of the "white" teams players out trying out, so i doubt the 16u merge happens...though that could be a force as well...has back to back ever happened and any age group in ASA Nationals...(different thread)...workouts wednesday for "red"...

In Response To: "the black 94 team is merging...as in becoming the lakewood firecrackers...can they defend the 14u national title without nancy as their #1...my money is them doing it...but...it just got twice as hard"

My money is on Victory USA-Campbell to win - they took 2nd in Midland, and they are stronger now then they were then, we'll check back in August to see. Yes, they are still a strong team, but w/o Nancy, they are no match for Campbell's group.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Saw Victory this weekend. They are very strong. I don't think Firecrackers will do it this year w/o their girl.

Round 1: Firecrackers(Lakewood-Blck) vs Victory USA-94. I heard they played in a friendly this past Sunday 9/21. Final score???? Campbell's team 5, Firecrackers 1. That's what I heard.

Who else will be tough in the 14U division?

What about the 14U Corona Angels?

Or is the team Marty had in Midland moving to 16's?

Victory, LL, CA. These same teams have battled each other since 10u and will continue to field top teams and play tough.
