Deanna Mauer Memorial Scholarship Tournament - NEED HELP!!

[hbmamak]

As many of you know in OC Softball Deanna Mauer a 2005 Fountain Valley High School graduate, Firecracker & Redrum travel player, Central Arizona College and San Jose State College was killed in a car accident last month. Her softball friends wanted to put together a Memorial Tournament that would start a scholarship fund in Deanna's name. Fortunately support has been great, they have a $5,000 donation from Verizon, umpire volunteers, a bunch of food and at least 60 people confirmed to participate. Unfortunately, they thought they had done everything possible to book a field at the HB sports complex only to find out yesterday, they actually didn't. They are desperately trying to find another field or two so they can continue with the celebration. They've reached out to the City of HB with no luck, Goldenwest College who's fields are closed and are trying to reach some of the local high schools. If anyone has any contacts or fields available on Sat we would greatly appreciate it and once this is resolved would love to have more players come out and get this scholarship tournament moving forward.

Thank you -
Colleen Krueger

have you tried to reach out to Coach Baker? Deanna Played for Bake at FV and then was coaching with him before the tragedy... i know it's a little trek down to San Juan Capistrano but i'm sure he would help with his fields at the High School!
