Live blog from Santa Margarita vs. Rosary game

by Carlos Arias » Fri Apr 16, 2010 9:30 pm

The El Mo-Canyon game got postponed, so I looked for a competitive game that would be exciting to cover. I picked the Santa Margarita-Rosary game. Wow what a game. Northwestern-bound Amy Letourneau had tickets to tonight's Taylor Swift concert, so she took matters into her own hands and belted a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th to beat Rosary, 2-0. Letourneau also went the distance to record the shutout. I'm not sure if she made it to Staples Center for the start of the show.

Check out my blog of the game here:

O K Mr. C-los.
You are one hard working dude. Thanks for all of the updates. Anyways, the tuesday game of the week should be:

Valencia (o.c.) 14-2 vs. Kennedy (o.c) 9-5 but Kennedy will get their starting pitcher (Lakewood Ladies) back after 2 weeks of being injured. The winner will have a say in who will end up on top of the Empire League as contenders with Pacifica.

My heads up opinion. (of course) Check it out if you can.

Thanks. OC DAD

OCD: That's gonna be a good one. Trabuco Hills at Foothill is also on Tuesday. The good news is my homie Damian Dottore starts covering softball on Tuesdays and Fridays for the OC Register and OCVarsity for the rest of the season. So we can get them both covered. I'm not sure which one I'll be at, but we've got you covered.

Sweeet. Your new slogan:

" We've got you covered "

Tell your boss thanks. The softball community in the O.C. has always been a big deal and it is getting bigger every year in my opinion.

Kennedy's pitcher pitched in the MCC. Did she go out again after that?
