10U TOP TEAM RANKING (SOCAL) PRE-ASA STATES FINAL RANKING !

by odelljohnsoncar » Sun May 30, 2010 7:04 am

Some great softball being played! The match ups of 4 of the top 5 to start the tourney were awesome. FC vs bombers was a 0-0 game until bottom of the sixth when FC broke through to end the game. And jynk vs USA was a tied game late until USA came through. What a start to the tourney! Match up today of FC /USA should be great and it looks like bombers /jynk are on a collision course in the losers bracket.

Well Socaldude10u I guess the teams backed up your lastest poll on the dirt. Teams #1-#7 were there at the end and recieved their berths. Congrats to all the teams. FC is on a different level, and look to see them win it all at Nationals. Nice job Impact for getting in.
See you at Nationals,

Lets not get crazy seminoles. We did play like crap which is our fault and we are not a top 4 team. We even played everyone on our team and batted everyone every game to get them use to that level of play for certain reasons. We were not planning on winning this year but was hoping to move up a bit higher. but anyone who has any clue knows some teams had an easier schedule then others. Which is why some teams made it easier then others. Not taking anything away from anyone. Head to Head play is what counts in the end. All the teams who made it can play good ball and deserved a spot to nationals. Congrats All teams :D

Congrats to Shawn and the FC99 for another title! Also congrats to all the 10U teams that qualified. The fields were great, umps were good and there was some quality softball played by all the SoCal 10u teams this weekend who went to state. The weekend was a great experience for our girls. It was a well run tournament.

Would've loved to hear that pre-tournament speech- "Girls, we are not a top team! We were not planning on winning this year! Some of these teams have it easier, so we are going to play and bat everyone! Next year though- Watch out"! (WOW) :o

Does anyone know if all 8 teams are actually attending Nationals? Or are some going TCS or Western Nationals?

Yes some teams had an easier bracket then others. Like impact who only got their bearth do to the fact that they mercied so cal athletics. But hey thats how it goes. Strikeforce 2000 has a great team with a lot of heart. I hope their coach can learn to shut up on hey bucket. Congrats to all the teams who made it. So is it true that usa athletics coach tony was stealing signs from jynx. If it is that is pretty shady. One more gripe what do you think of coaches who start their pick up players and sit their players who have been there all season who have been paying dues, showing up to practice, and working hard all year. Thats not a good way to create loyalty.

You still have to give credit where credit is due. Impact came out to play and played a great game vs. So Cal Athletics!! They also had to beat Knuckle Up another good team. Great job Impact for making it to Nationals your first year...

I do agree we have a team with allot of heart and talent.. I couldn't say it any better Luv about coaches coming on Heybucket to bad mouth another team or down grade our team. We come out to play for every game and it doesn't matter who, how big, how old they are. We come out to the dirt to win. And if you see our team play you would see that in their EYES...

I wouldn't call it shady, just part of the game. Every girl should know "come on <insert jersey number here>" means a change-up is coming !!! hahah.

I LOVE Strike Force 2000, I really do, they're so damn cute !!! I do NOT think however they neccessarily are at much advantage once the new 2000 teams start forming throughout SoCal in late August. When the OC and IE girls come out of All-Stars, they will have around 20-30 games under their belt for the summer, will also have come from great coaching and pretty ready for travel not to mention there are travel teams now that are heavy on the 2000 side with 5-6 players on the roster. SM Blaze comes to mind and even Watley I believe has 4-5 2000's.

Historically speaking, SF 2000 isn't treading new waters, less than 2yrs ago Crunch 98 and AA98 won ASA Western Nationals (1st and 2nd) as first year 10U's. Granted, those are BIG SHOES to fill...
